Gti isn’t safe 500+. Eu Club sports and any R’s have better internals so they’re safe for 500+

@@aridzachdeath4494 at that point it's a transmission issue though. Dq250 and 381 have inherited TQ limits at 500wTQ that become a sheering of the gears / baskets issue beyond just swapping clutches. If it's a DD it has to be as dead nuts reliable as possible...many of theses guys doing typhoons use them as weekend/race cars so it's really a different application. At some point you have to pick a side...DD or race and stick to those goals. I'm team DD 😁

Is a 6-speed GTI potentially faster than DSG? I always thought DSGs were faster because of quicker shifting but does the longer gearing of the manual make it better top-end? I am tuned by IE but still running just a IS38. I've done everything as far as boltons can go and the only thing i can do next is go with a bigger better turbo. I am torn between going hybrid like you've done or stay with IE and go with the new Garrett GT2260. Have you had a chance to run anyone with the new Garrett turbo yet? I am very curious as to how it will stack up?

Depends on your end goal. Imo I’d say get a custom tune and go hybrid. OTS maps are a “one size fits all” and you wouldn’t take full advantage of the setup but it all comes back to your goals.
