There definitely overpriced, I can afford them but there not worth the money. For the price of 2, you can buy 4 of another brands subwoofer that will hit way harder. If JL would cut the price by 50% on the W6's and W7's they would probably double or triple the amount of subwoofers they sell, increasing there revenue, especially with the W7.

I think there subs are leaning more towards a cheaper SPL build quality, they dont sound as good as the old school 90's models. There 90s subs used to hit hard and accurate but would only need like 300 watts. I think the success of their W7 line, made them redesign the others as well.

Even in a sealed box, it will still play pretty darn loud. I see so many people with sealed subs with jl audio: thats how it supposed to be in car audio, there is no point to run a ported sub in a car.

I have two 'll 10w6v2s I had em sealed and then switched to ported afterwards. Both enclosures were custom and the ported obviously had more output but when they were sealed they hit every single beat. w6s are bad ass but I can't fit them in my 2015 Silverado so I'm having to stoop down to tw1 or tw3

Beautiful. I just got a w6 10inch with the xd600 and it is nice. Curious to see how a w7 feels when it's pushed properly. For now the 1 w6 is Koo. Your system sounds like I can hear you from down the block.... All the way down the block! Lol

Anniversary. and i dont have JBL's I have JL's. yeah i get rattling in the back of the truck area but i've never tried hard enough to try and solve the reason why or how to fix it. But in these cars, if your not aware, The bass is much louder than other cars. Due to the bass being all sent forward from the back window. but the JL W6's are Amazing. I recommend them to you when or if you get your Camaro.

@disistablishment well i havent seen or heard of a box that doesnt take up that area. because that pretty much the only spot that the box and speakers are meant to go. but if you have lots of money im sure some place make something Extremely custom. but i doubt it. yeah it sucks man, but when I take off my ttops i just fold my seat down and put them in the back when im driving. works for me

Sick subs but everyone who posts needs to invest in a proper mic for these types of videos. Or at least turn down the volume to get the real effect because the mic distorts. Most viewers don't know this so they holler tune this tune that. I have 3 12' w3v3's but I'm about to cop some w6's.

not bad. i builted a custom box fully fitted to the back trunk of my 1999 integra gs-r with 2 13.5'' JL w7 each powered by a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1, 2 focals, 4 alpine type r's, 6 Phoenix Gold Tweeters, 25 High Density Carbon Compactior, PPI PC 740.5, 100 amp circuit breaker, Kinetic HC1200 powering alternator and 2 HC600 on subs. pretty sure im missing more but boy was my 2 door coupe bossing it. i shake ceiling texture off 16-20ft'' roofs @ our local audio shop :'D jl may have been out for a while but they are about as clean and solid as it gets' you pay for what you get

Sound quality, the JL's are Better. But then again, when I was using the Solo's I was using a shitty amp. I never had a chance to hear the L7s in my car with a good amp. so I cant say for sure. But i do know I like the look of the Kicker L7's better. But the W6's were a lot louder, but maybe its because of the amp. L7s are gonna be a whole lot cheaper to buy. so if money is a factor, then just go with the L7s. Big BANG for your buck

+brett pingel should be good. the prime is a very efficient amp. I had a prime 1000 going to two 12" w6's and it wailed. Then all of a sudden my amp fried out. I hooked up a sound stream 2000watt tarantula to them and wow it was loud as fuck.

@@Vishaal199107 I'll be honest and say I've never heard a W7 in the sealed JL box. Ported boxes tend to always have more output. I would take a guess and say that the two 10in W6s in a ported box would get louder than one 12 inch W7 in a sealed box. The best case would be to find a W7 and find the JL H.O ported box to put it in.

ive always seen it liek this , jl is sq , rockford is thump , kicker is in between. kickers seem ot liek vent ported , where jl like sealed, rockford also likes sealed. just my hands on .not into new car stereo , if its post 01 or so, not feeling it . for power im all about the old school phoenix gold and rockford power amps, zapco or ppi for interiors , and line drivers always do some god shit .
