I missed having trunk space so i picked up a 10”w7 it didn’t hit hard enough. @@pumapunkudevelopment3376 For the particular car I was selling, I had a $2,000+ sound system. I had to off load the car and the guy told me that was one of the more attractive reasons for buying it that the other cars didn't have. This was a smart car, which there were not too many available. He liked the JL subwoofer I had hidden under the dash using a stealth box. Nobody had that setup because people are so cheap and won't spend the money. I want good sound in every car I have. I've never heard a factory set up I've liked. Not even the top of the line Bang & Olufsen in many of the Ford vehicles. My system blows it away so badly, it's not even funny. When you're paying top dollar for a sound system, theirs should be better. Their engineers just don't care. They have no pride in what they sell. This is why I need to be a decision maker at these car companies so they can stop selling subpar stuff. They never ask the public their opinion. They just manufacture stuff and hope that we like it. Then they get pissed off when it totally flops.

12w7 is rated for 1000 rms watts, his amp is rated for 1200 RMS. When he refers to ohms i think he is refer to Box Rise. Then he is probably getting 1450rms out of both roughly. JL isnt what it use to be, it is still good but you are paying for a name. A sundown x-10 would be about the same but the price would about $200-$300 cheaper. I am 52 and been installing since i was 15 yrs old but each one has their own preference. So good job, i was glad it was that style of cap and not the tube style u can buy for $50 or less. @RodofAllTrades8 ай бұрын
Great video! My first W7 was a 12! I actually replaced two Pioneer IMPP 15's with a single 12W7. However, there was a catch- The 15's were in a sealed enclosure and the only way the 12W7 could beat the 15's was in a ported enclosure. Back in 2002, I was very impressed. So impressed, that I continued using W7's for 22 years. I had five 12's, three 10's, two 13.5's, and two 8W7's. I have to say my favorite was running a single 13W7 as far as box size to output goes. I went back and forth from ported to sealed and back. I really prefer the sealed sound over the ported, but you need a lot of power and multiple drivers to really have fun. The H.O. enclosures are really amazing for what they are, but if you listen to a wide variety of music as I do, sealed is the only way. I ended up doing a pair of Stereo Integrity SQL-15's in a 4.2 cu. ft. sealed box on a true 3,000 watts and I can say the two 15's sealed beat a single 13W7 sealed AND ported hands down. CONE AREA IS KING. Also, historically - SEALED is the most accurate way to go. My 15's play a wider bandwidth that is also flatter than any ported W7. The only thing that came close to my 15's were a pair of 12W7's in a ported enclosure, and even then - the 12W7's wouldn't play as low as the 15's sealed. It's physics. All I can say, is that I've never been happier! FYI: When I bought my 15's, they were only $50.00 more than a SINGLE 8W7. Right now, the pair would be $50.00 cheaper than a single 10W7. Let that sink in. I DARE YOU TO TRY STEREO INTEGRITY! JL has become way too proud and too greedy. It's quite sad.

Will add detail to each instrument and improve your sound field. With the time delay feature you can really improve your rear fill since they are located all kinds of crazy. People might give you chit about the 4 gage run but being such a short run you shouldn't have an issue. Some pretty serious equipment. Install looks pretty clean. Should last you a long time. Also, if you need to do a power upgrade start with the big 3 and an alternator. I run old school inefficient A/B class amps and with my interstate battery its all I needed. I've added batteries and caps before without the results I got from an alternator. Welcome to the hobby.

Rockford in therms of subwoofers are more of a pounding system where JL also pounds but is much more acoustic and mends with the sound of the speaker. Even though JL has a higher price I think in the long run it is more worth it for the quality of sound that you will get

Did the dynamat prevent or at least help with the rattles from the license plates? I also have a Lexus and I know that rattle from the plate will sound terrible without dynamat.

Not for the licenece place, go to your local hardware store and get some 1/4 inch thick foam tape, put that under your license plate and you’ll be good to go

Get some uk drum and bass to play through that system. Theres a tune called Deep blue helicopter tune on moving shadow records . Play that tune and see how that system handles .

When I say "the Latest and Greatest" I am referring to the Slash Series Amps which were discontinued after the V3 last Year. Thank you for your feedback DMAX97

That’s crazy dude back in 1998 I bought three 10 inch JR audio 10 W6 310 inch and I had Rockford amps and Kenwood head unit back then everybody has aftermarket stereo systems because Carrs didn’t come with all those nice stereos like they do now I mean solid cars infinity is Lexus is but it will come like bows stereos with a sub woofer but now everything has a decent radio pretty much but now everybody is getting those big monitor‘s for the radios now they’re coming out with a new stereos to make your iPad looking radio a lot bigger so I know that’s gonna start selling a lot more stereo equipment but back then you didn’t have to order anything you just had to put the order in to buy it and I would have it in a week I’m trying to say what I paid for those 310 W6 is in a custom box I believe what the amplifier spend under 3000 for everything that’s installed and everything

You would be AMAZED if you added a DSP. it would take a good sound system to "OMFG that's sounds incredible!"
