Preston if you want advice it makes it's easier if you allow replies on your comment. First of all, max wattage is irrelevant. That's just a measure of that the subs could POSSIBLY do and it's a small chance for them to be able to handle that for more than a few seconds/ minutes before they blow. Rms is all that matters and if they're 250 each it would be good to buy a 600 rms amp. Get a boustin acoustics gt2125. Set the gain about 3/4 of the way and those subs will do good and be ran at their best efficiency.

My best at a competition was 153.8 DB's with a single 12" Earthquake sub pushed by 2 Sherwood A250x2 amplifiers running each of them bridged to a single voice coil. For the signal I ran a sine sweep from about 80 to 40 hz.

eric sanders The BRZ series hifonics amps are beasts they will take a beating and keep going! i collect amplifiers and for the money the brz 1700.1d is a great amplifier for the price. and it does pretty close to rated power, the only problem i have is they are a bit power hungry so you need good electrical... FYI it takes power to make power so large gauge wiring H/O alternator and the big three and an extra battery never hurt... i actually ran mine on stock electrical with 0 gauge wire and wired it to .5 ohm and it beat like a beast... sold it to a friend because i another newer one and i built him an eclosure for 2 SoundQubed hds315 dual 4 ohm subs and it is pushing the hell out of those subs to this day... he is doing a 150.3 with that setup at around 36 hz.. but for the money hifonics and (Audioque) soundqubed amplifiers are unbeatable!!!

A buddy of mine had a wall in a excursion with 6 15" inch mofo's and 3 Memphis mojo amps and 22 yellow top battery's. You wanna talk about slamming for a cheap system that thing slammed we set off bank alarms all the time. I had 2 of the spl subs which are the same sub and on a competition 2000 watt US amp they ripped the trunk off my dodge. There a cheap sub that only hits like one tone but they do pound. Mine lasted about a year then popped.

+DirtySouthFlorida3 well that could have been the box tuning, of course it was a spl setup, so it was probably tuned to 40-45hrz and had a very narrow band width. But for a cheap sub they do pound I did like the spl's better seem like they hit even better with the cone they had. The trunk on my poor neon never stood a chance we welded it 5 different times and it always just ripped it back apart. But I had a special custom US amp that put out tons of clean power. If I had turned the gain up over a 1/4 it would have smoked them.

I run 15 inch mofos...with 2500 Brutus elite at 1 ohm.....um...no haters...that shit pounds...hard...1.5 inches of mfd....8 cubes....stuffed in a civic trunk.. .built and measured. Ported to 34 hrz.....very listenable...and try decaff...low lows. Put in metal. .try old school....very underated subs.mine have worked fine for years and my amp does not die because i have a big aalt. And big batteries.feed it....volts times amperage will equal wattage output...ohms law.look it up.
