This is SO BEAUTIFUL! This is my first time ever going to temple in my whole life. I am half Jewish by blood was not raised in the faith growing up at all. Wow! I am Jewish Christian at the moment having some dark struggles in the spiritual world. As I read the Torah books of the Old Testament it speaks so deeply to my soul. I am so grateful to see this. I pray the Lord will turn his face toward me and give me peace. I pray the Lord will bless and keep all of you! Love

I just watched this service for a Religion course I am taking in college. Although my family is Christian, I was surprised by how familiar the service was. I was also surprised how much Hebrew I must have absorbed through my own church services. I couldn't follow all of it, but it was a bit like listening to someone speak (or in this case sing) a language where you've had a year or two of training -- you hear words and phrases you understand. The little kids were adorable.

This looks familiar to you because it actually has nothing to do with the original orthodox Shabbat service in a traditional synagogue. This looks much more like a christian service in church, unfortunately....

sumsum Reform Judaism was actually based on Christianity and Islam, with one article saying that Jesus may have actually been the “OG” Reform rabbi.

@@sumsum5196 Why "unfortunately?"
@sumsum51962 жыл бұрын
@@donaldwilliamfry because Judaism and Christianity are complete opposites. And these nice jews are so far away from their tradition, true Jewish tradition, that it really breaks my heart. There so many things happening here that shouldn't happen and are actually against Shabbat and forbidden on Shabbat I don't even want to start. But, I wish these brothers and sisters of mine well and that God will lead them in the right way, the way of the Torah...
I just found your service on KZbin. I am really enjoying it. Todah rabah

I really like the fact that a number of synagogues are using a more contemporary approach to their music. It's a beautiful and inspiring blend of tradition and innovation. Central Synagogue in NYC is another good example. Keep up the good work.

I've always found Jewish services more spiritual than the Christian services, as the jews comes since early Bible time I always wanted to attend there services or at least convert from Dutch reformed church (Christian) to Jewish faith, now that Ive left the Christian church indefinitely I hope that God will guide me to the right people to help me become a jew, to obey God's commandments and to live a spiritual life in truth and absolute commitment

Why does this reminds me of Christian service.
@Bulvan1237 ай бұрын
Because Christians took a lot of Jewish things for their service. Which kinda makes sense considering the biggest person in their religion was Jewish & all (or almost all) of his original followers were Jews as well.
