While I love me a Nordhavn, these Bering Steel Yachts are even a step up. Such a perfect boat. Have you noticed in the engine room that nothing is behind something else? Everything you need access to is right there. Great idea with the surprise guest, the two heavy-weights of yacht videos, finally united! Thank you Nick & David.
@jakejake71623 жыл бұрын
You have great taste, those are definitely my top 2 yacht companies. Berring makes the strongest/most capable yachts I’ve been able to find. And nordhavn just has the most gorgeous design and looks extremely elegant. No wrong choice with them on the table
@Pixelplanet53 жыл бұрын
yea this is a great little ship along with the nordhavn´s. Among all the boats i cant afford (which are basically all of them) these are the ones i could at least afford to operate for a while as they dont burn a monthly salaries worth of fuel in a day.

Bering is such a great brand, designer is down to earth also and understands how to build a proper trawler. For once I have nothing but good things to say about this boat, if I was a little younger I would buy a Bering 77 to sail around the world

I was going to quip that every Bering 70 comes with a complimentary Man in the master cabin reading you a magazine every night before going to bed. A worthwhile extra for sure for every boat. But then the end came and you introduced David and why he was there.

The Bering 70 is next to Nordhavn and Fleming among my favourites. The possibility to discover an almost unlimited sailing area with a minimal crew appeals to me very much in this type of trawler style yachts without making concessions on comfort and no overkill of luxury, you can find yourself with this kind of ships in both the most expensive marinas in the Mediterranean and also not be too out of place when you moor in a simple fishing port. And luckily David wasn't in the shower while Nick was doing his tour! :)

So many things I love about this boat. The slightly inverted bow, the helm station with upright windshields, the large chunky doors. I've been waiting for a tour of this yacht. When Nick says this is a boat, not a motor yacht. You know you are in for a treat. Apart from in the saloon, it feels like you are touring a much bigger boat. This is truly a go anywhere boat. I think I like it more than the Nordhavn boats which are ocean going as well. The engine room with a central fuel tank was different along with both engine exhausts on the port side. I did like the master cabin on this. This is one very solid boat. The gag with David was great. It is nice to see the terrible three (well four) get on so well. I would still like to see a Monty Python 'Whicker Island' style review of a boat with all of them trying to review it at the same time!
@MaybuTron3 жыл бұрын
This is possibly the nicest boat I've seen. You can absolutely see where the money has been spent! For a family boat it is exceptionally well done. €2.3 Million? Yes - the POINT THREE is to cover the expense of having David read your boating magazines aloud. No worries, he describes each picture with aplomb - that alone is worth the price. The Bering B70 looks stout and worthy of "living aboard". Thanks for the tour, Nick.

That's rather special. I often think with the globe-trotting displacement yachts that the interiors are a little bland and functional - almost institutional - but this has the legs and the style! I like that they've sacrificed a little bit of heads space for better cabins, and the thickness and heavy engineering of all the fittings and doors just screams adventure! Great tour as always, Nick, and thanks for the reminder to sub to Yachts for Sale!
