Lovely pattern. On my list for future projects. You asked about the 1/2 double crochet join. Love this revelation! Looks so much better and avoids those annoying slip stitches. Learn so much from your tutorials. Thank you for all you and your team do. Jeanne is a pattern genius! Love and appreciate her creativity.

I prefer the hdc join. Plus I love that you have the same little difficulties of the tight stitch and pulling it through is the teacher has the same difficulties that the student has.

Mikey, the answer is 6, always 6🤣. It took me a few rewinds to get it, but 👍 I’m off and running now. Thank you. I found you then lost you for a while but thankfully I found you again and subscribed so I won’t lose you again! Looking forward to lots more “how to’s” and follow alongs. 2 thumbs up👍👍

I love the way the HDC looks to join to me it gives it a cleaner look. Working on it at the moment and using Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in the colorway of Jazzy for a friend. Thank you for the tutorial.

I was looking for a pattern for a shawl when I noticed this lovely pattern. I love it! Thank you, Jeanne and Mikey. I will start with a long chain so that my shawl will have the desired shape. I also really like the HDC join for the corner. I'll post pictures when it's complete. Thanks again!

I’ve been wanting to do a rectangle project and I like this one better than the traditional granny you showed already. And I Way Prefer the HDC join!! It makes it a much cleaner look. Thanks for all your hard work and videos!! 😊

Thank you for filming this Mikey!! Thank you Jeanne for the pattern! Love how this looks. I love the HDC for the corner. It makes it so much easier to find than a slip stitch does. Thanks again!! Have a great day! 🧡💚💜

I like the hdc join. I also do my granny squares that way. On the first round of the granny square I do a hdc join then I do 3dc in the corner then at the end I do 3dc with a hdc join. I don't have to slip stitch to get to the corner.
@barbp662 жыл бұрын
I will definitely be making this 2 + 4 afghan. I do like the hdc for the joining corner. I am also a counter so I will be doing the 2, 4 count while making this :-)

This is so pretty. I really like the HDC join. Curious question though (open to everyone).....since this pattern is worked with no turning, will the end result be slightly warped like a bigger granny square? Can this pattern be worked by turning the work as well? Fairly new to crocheting so I sometimes have silly questions. Thanks everyone!
@terrideclue46922 жыл бұрын
Mine did not warp, the inside curved a little until I put a border on...that usually corrects any curl.

@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you for responding on a holiday. I am going to try this pattern myself for a very late holiday gift for a co-worker, and I will report back here when I get to that point, so that someone in the future will know that it CAN or cannot be done.
@phoenixmarine9742 жыл бұрын
Ok, so I've reached the end of Row 4. After doing the HDC, I cut the yarn, and using a blunt yarn needle, I sewed the end into the work. I then took Color B and did a standing DC into any corner ch-2 sp on the short side, worked another dc, and followed along. My next conundrum is if I should turn the work in case the pattern starts to "twist", as sometimes mine tends to do.
@phoenixmarine9742 жыл бұрын
Because I did a standing DC, once I got to the end of Row 5 in Color B, I ch 2, for the corner space, then did a sl st to connect. Now the conundrum: do I ch 1, turn the work, sl st back into the ch-2 space, then ch2 as in the original direction? But then, I realized I couldn't, because then it would put me on the wrong side, not just the opposite side of the work. So, from the sl st, I reverted back to the original pattern as in this tutorial
