I have one under the from port seat. Inside my CGawk 222. It saved me one time. Limping us back in at 4mph.

Great little engines. Looks like air cooled 2 cycle oil in carb(red), you want Marine 2 cycle(blue), not the same made for cooler conditions,won’t foul plug.

Great video.. cleaning the carb just now. Planning to use the motor as kicker for a unlucky situation the main engine malfunctions. The motor only ran with choke on..

Thanks for the incredibly helpful video. I have a few questions. 1.) I am not able to loosen the part on the level you are touch at (2:15.) I tried pliers. Can I use a lubricant like WD40? 2.) I am also not able to release the pin holding the float bowl level arms (4:16.) Can I force it with a pin, add lubricant? 3.) The small pin behind the level arms (4:28) in the hole slipped out, and is not connected to the arms. Am I able to place that back in after cleaning and it work properly? 4.) in your cleaning machine are you just using water? If I don’t have a machine like that, can I let the pieces soak in fresh water? Thanks in advance!

Yes you can use WD 40. I'm using Dawn degreaser to clean the carburetor

Thanks for the video. At 14:14, you can see there are two holes at the top part of the fuel bowl, what are these two holes for? In my case, one of them is blocked and I am not sure if that matters. the other one leads to a hole behind the choke cover.

what is the purpose of the screw (with a red color washer ? showing) at the bottom of the float bowl for? You did not open/ unscrew it when you placed all the parts in the cleaning machine. My engine (3.5 Tohatsu) recently started to leak from this screw.... thoughts on why?

that's the drain hole. when you clean the carb, you first drain the fuel then open the bowl but many people including me skip this step and just open the bowl directly and let the fuel spill.

@@siyunchinn3904would this drain screws (red rubber washer) become compromised and leak? I recently started using the premixed fuels rather than mixing my own oil in fuel for convenience… I wonder if something in those “premixed” fuels is causing the red rubber washer to deteriorate..?
