It's always a good idea. Did you end up replacing the water pump or just the gasket?

@@ZealoustheEnder so far been checking trhe water coolant level its good. before it showed up leaking. will replace the gasket. These cars have no car engine temp guage. None ?

My 06 Mazda 5 has temp gauge. If your vehicle does not I would suggest running a bluetooth obd II reader with an app like Torque. That will let you monitor the temp and so much more. Even check and clear engine codes

@@singhsingh5872 hey, sorry im just seeing this. This type of water pump does have a peep hole it leaks from. It would look like its the gasket but is not. Its an internal seal for the bearings on the water pump.
