Great job by Ayala Amir discovering Vanilla Wine residues in a CoD Rosette jar! Incredibly well-formed, well-preserved 8-petal stamp shown at 0:57. 😀

Very nice! I will try a little vanilla in my wine glass with my Saint Émilion tonight!

Fantastic find. Today you can drink Israeli wine with a vanilla flavour note by purchasing a wine matured for at least 12 months in White American Oak, rather than French Oak. The Vanilin inside the American Oak gives the wine a very rich flavour of vanilla as well as a touch of coconut and other spices.

Hints at the opulence with in Jerusalem at that time , possibly the offical requirements to the wine trade .A complex system of trade from India to Africa where next ? What next ?

GaL moved between PortuGaL,BanGaL and MonGolia which like everything else leads to the fact that GaLilee,GALicia,GALatea ….as called as such because they where inhabited and named by GaL who drunk alcohol,where warriors,had tattoos etc

I wonder if the taste is the same as our common vanilla flavoring. The common vanilla flavor comes from an orchid native to Mexico. There are several other species in the Vanilla genus and their fruit may have made its way to the middle east but do they produce the same flavoring as the species native to Mexico? I also wonder if it could it be contamination of the artifacts?
@Tzimiskes35062 жыл бұрын
no it can't be contaminated

I have seen and touched the physical evidence. You can take the Kotel Tunnel Tours, or visit the Davidson Center Archeological Park, both in the Old City, and touch the evidence yourself. Also, outside the southern wall of the city there are the ruins of Solomon's expansion of the city.

I would say it is the very reason why Jews should be allowed to use the name David for it has no meaning in they language for it’s GaL in origins.
