its 2022 and i just got my first 06 dodge charger 2.7 got a 3.5 engine for $250 with the same miles but they swapped the trans so trans has less than 10,000 miles. i have the 2.7 ecu still and the 2.7 harness will it fit i know i need a air intake because the 2.7 dont fit the 3.5

Yes it will fit,you'll know what you have to change when you get the motor in first

Did the 2.7L exhaust connect up to the 3.5L? I take it the bell housing and flexplate are the same also. Thanks for putting this video up for us stuck with a 2.7L. Mine has 230K miles and luck only lasts so long.

The reason the 3.5 is a lot faster is because you gain the extra gear ratio vantage thank you I got my engine 2.7 3.5 here with go 😁

I did that with my 08 charger but for some reason the PCV hose when plugged in is building too much pressure in the engine.. been driving with the hose out .. any recommendations?

Just the motor and find a 3.5 oil pan cover to cover the open part of the trans after the installation of the motor,you'll see what I mean after you install the motor

I switched my 2.7 over to a 3.5 Chrysler 300 2007 and now it won’t crank... any suggestions?? I have wiring harness from 3.5 and computer.. lights radio everything works but won’t crank . I mean completely dead when I turn the key.

The key for the 2.7 car body doesn't match the computer for the 3.5 try using the 2.7 computer

My guy is having problems with the wiring hornest.he got the 3.5 hornest but it's not fitting on certain spots.he is using the 3.5 computer.what do he heed to do as far as getting the wiring right

Use the 2.7 harness it still will plug into to 3.5 computer, and some of the 3.5 harness peices ain't going to hook up for the transmission they will be blanks

I change out from 2.7 to 3.5. Wont shift out of 2nd. Do i need put 2.7 brain back in? Or flash the 3.5 brain. Then work wright. My intake has 2 plug in. Do i need to plug in second on passengers side?

Try switching the computer bro and you have to hook up the intake the same way you took it out of either car with the same computer

I took to shop an they put 3.5 harness an motor plus hook up with 3.5 brain. It runs but the shifting is problem. What you mean on the intake

I have same swap, but I get DTC for MTV. The 2.7 had only MTV on passenger side, but 3.5 has MTV and SRV. How did you connect it?

Bro, I want to change my 2.7l to a 3.5. Have a dodge charger 2007. I don't want to get rid of at all. But I have my wife and mechanic saying to get rid of it. The 2.7l has over heated. I replaced the heads, timing belt. I have almost had it with the car and the check engine light. It keeps wanting more parts and it seems like it maybe over heating again. Car gods please help me lol

Swap it bro, It's easy. If the motor ain't locked it will be easy as heck. Look at my videos on what you will need and just do it.you can get the pieces you need at the junkyard. I see so many nice looking cars in the junkyard with them 2.7 motors, dont let the car go. My next one I'm going to try to put a 2011-2016 or newer 3.6 in a 2005- 2010

@@motoorealbell7472 Believe me I so want to. But I have no mechanic experience and I don't have tools to get the motor out. I've changed tires, battery, oil/filter. But that's the extent of my knowledge. So when you say it's easy, yeah to a person who knows what they are doing I'm sure it is. Thank you tho for the reply and motivation. What do these engines normally go for? Got some quote me 2500 to replace it. Does that sound like a reasonable price? 80k 3.5
