My brother got killed the same way by a so called friend. He even spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with us cause he was homeless and had nowhere to go and 2 weeks later him and another so called friend tried to rob my brother and killed him 2 house away from our home. The government needs to stop trying to give adult rights to young people whose brains are not fully developed. As a mother of a adult male I know this behavior is abnormal, dysfunctional and anti social. It's just not normal but lots of these children sadly haven't not been taught life coping skills. On how to resolve problems without the use of gun violence or murder. I really think there is a strong connection to the music and movies these youths are watching. Because my son us deaf and thirty two and none of his friends have ever been arrested. Letalong commit a homicide taking the life of someone. Just like you said it's deep and complex I am considering starting a KZbin channel for PTSD Which would teach about emotions and how to respond with uncomfortable emotions. Sometimes I feel like alien because I escaped from the vicious cycle of generational childhood Incest. At age seventeen I witnessed the murder of my mother and escaped gunshots from her newlywed husband. Who also barricaded the home and shot himself by the time. I had run through the alley to the gas station and to the pay phone to calm the police. I guess I was one of the lucky ones since I have been getting professional help for PTSD. Having weekly trauma therapy sessions is soothing to my soul. I am thankful that I choose to confront my own unresolved childhood trauma. Sadly most parents don't make that decision. Or have no previous experience navigating throughout the mental health systems. Anyway your comment makes me think you care about these young lost troubled killers and victims. Its always someone you know especially in cerain age groups. My nephew who is in his late twenties was set up for robbery by someone he knew. My nephew is former military and was taking classes at local college and working, living on his own. Not in the streets or about the thug life. They wanted his white Lexus. A used car that he purchased with pride and was paid off. They shot him at point blank range even though he complied with them. By him knowing who the driver was, their plan was to take him out. He survived and the perps involved were caught and in jail. After reading some of these comments. You can not always assume because it involve black males that its about the sterotypical images main stream media or racist facist want you to believe about young black men. Jealousy cruelty and envy run deep among some people.

They do not lnow how to handle conflict because they operate on emotion not common sense. They also lack empathy and critical thinking skills. They do not value life either, even their own. Its very sad. This is what happens when you stop kids they can acheive anything and that they matter.
