On the 3 Night Cruise on Oasis this past week and the folks staying in the Aqua Suite 9330 saw me and wanted everyone they fixed the Wi-Fi and the room does get internet reception now! Doesn't solve all the issues but this was a big one!

Thanks for that review. I’ve watched others that present this room in a “travel agent” way not as someone actually staying and using the suite. Unless pointed out, such things as curtains and walking space in second bedroom would have been overlooked.

It is very true. Makes a huge difference when you see how the room truly functions. Hate making non-favorable videos but didn't want others to be disappointed like we were. Eesp., when there are cheaper and nicer rooms avaiable!

Just stayed in this suite for a 10 day cruise with 2 children and it was amazing! So much room and the deck was massive. We were on the 8th floor.

Extremely helpful video . I was torn between aqua theater and starloft suite and u can now be 100% sure that starloft suite is the way to go. I hate outdated rooms . That aqua theater looks like it belongs in the 80s

Best part of aqua theater suite is the balcony and the ability to see all the aqua shows. Other than that I would go with the 1 bedroom Aqua Theater / Star loft Suite / or Grand Panoramic Suite for the price.

We stayed on an AQUA 2bedroom on Oasis a few years ago…. The size of the cabins do change based on the deck you are on. Our cabin and deck size on deck 8 was much larger than the one you are touring on deck 9. The one on deck 8 is considered “spacious”! About 140Sqft larger on interior!

That is true. Weird how they did that but they get larger the lower you go in floors. 140 sq ft would make a huge difference! Though, I think there is only the 8th floor Aqua Suite and not a deck 7 Aqua Suite or lower. Past ours on deck 9, the opposite is true, where the rooms and balconies get even smaller!

Thank you! Sound was not an issue for us. The only time it comes into the cabin is the Aqua show (which you will want to watch every time outside anyway) and the movies they played. Movies only came in with a loud noise and not every word. Could not hear people or the music from below.

We are going on the Wonder of the Seas this summer and staying in 9374 so exact same layout, but I wonder if the "new" ship will help with the complaints of the room feeling out dated. I sure hope so. We are going with my family and my wife and I only had to pay $4800. When I take out the freebies of the star class it makes our room very similar in price to a regular balcony so I do feel like we are getting a deal. We are very excited either way.

Great overview. Sadly, we remember when those balconies to see the Boardwalk were available to all cruisers. We utilized them a great deal since we were staying on the Boardwalk. We watched an eclipse of the moon from one of those balconies on one cruise. No WiFi would be a game killer. That really needs to be corrected. Love your content.

I stayed in 8730. Being on a lower deck it was a much Larger suite. There are electrical outlets on each side of the bed in the 2nd room. Oddly they are behind the nightstands. You have to pull them away from the wall. I suspect the placement has something to do with the option to convert the room into sleeping for 4. The Mix matched furniture might be a result of someone before you requesting additional loungers and chairs (We did and they provided them). Not sure why but we were one of the few that did not have any issues with wifi. Guess the crown loft is nice if you do not need any privacy. When we sailed in the 2 BR Aqua Theater we traveled with another couple. Therefore both bedrooms were used. The crown loft has no privacy. Only a curtain to pull in front of the balcony, that is it. With another adult couple I wanted to be able to "hide away" from time to time.

Yeah, the 2 Bedroom Aqua suite I have found out has a lot of variables from what floor it is on to what ship it is on. Could be a completely differnet experience! 100% agree that the Crown Loft Suite is not designed for 2 adult couples to share, more parents and children situation.

Thats crazy.. we stayed in the 1br aqua suite two floors above in 11330 and the room decor was totally different and updated.... and the wifi was the best we've had on any ship. At the end of the day you pay that hefty price tag for the balcony. Nothing better than sailing away from an island lounging on the aqua suite balcony watching the sunset

With regards to features of the interior, it doesn't look lush nor does it scream luxury (for example the bathroom looks very similar to a standard Oceanview bathroom). The way I look at it, it is the most economical star class room (with a million dollar view). Even tho it is much smaller compared to the royal loft, it holds up to 8 (which is crowded) So I see the aquatheater room being more about quantity as opposed to quality (at the star class level). I am so excited for the view and the star class amenities and great company. As for the the actual room,......meh.

Giving Star Class another try on Anthem in Grand Loft Suite. Got corner suite that has three different balcony's. Probably will do another Star Class for when we hit Pinnacle. Torn on what ship we do it on and type of suite.

I’ve booked a 2 bedroom aqua theaters on Harmony in 2023. I’m hoping for a better room. Can’t do the loft suites as I have a bad k we and can’t do stairs. I wanted the Star class experience. Im B2B for only $6600 per week. It is a great price.

I was in that exact room 2/20/2022! The internet was terrible for us as well. My daughter did flood the second bathroom the first time she took a shower. I agree that the decor is dated, but she is the first ship in that class. Maybe on her next dry dock those staterooms will get a refresh because they could use it. The layout of the deck 8 rooms is much better.

I am sorry that your experience in the 2BR ATS was not quite up to par. We stayed in Oasis ATS 8330 on her August 28th, 2022, Perfect Day Cruise. Our room was larger than the one shown in your video, so you must have been up a deck or two. We had 5 adults in the room, and it was extremely spacious. Also, the Voom worked very well in our room and on our balcony. Perhaps they improved it? However, it was an expensive room. But the Star amenities and our Royal Genie were fabulous. I would book this suite again for a special occasion.

I understand your comments. We had the same suite on Harmony on deck 8 and it was much better organiced. Remember that Oasis and Allure originally had outside staircases where the AquaSuite’s are and was transformer under a dry-Dock. We had very good Internett on the Harmony. It was perfekt for our family cruise!

The trick to walking in that second bedroom is to make it 2 twin beds! No banged heads getting out of bed and twice the space to walk, although still limited. The decor reminds me of the older ships! I’ve only been on the oasis once but I don’t remember it feeling tired! I was just in an veranda as I recall. Recently on the anthem I knocked the soap dispenser off the wall after washing my hair. I was trying to keep the water from running between the door jamb!

@@TheWeekendCruiser I agree, it’s a trade off and I voted no more bumps on my head! Those twins are sometimes wider as they make a king not a queen. If you are alone, turn the beds 90 degrees and get out at what would have been the foot! You’ll have to tip the steward extra cause that could be a bear to make. On the Anthem, the side tables are smaller than a CPAP and with only one plug by the bed the power strip kept falling toward the bed. Talk about a bear to make, especially with sheets that didn’t fit! If you ever get on the celebrity equinox check out the handicapped ocean-view. Because of the roll in shower the movement of the ship spreads the water all over the floor, literally there are no dry places to walk! The slope is wrong too. I really wish there was more input to the designers about what doesn’t work, or is hard to maintain. We put the phone under the bed, I don’t think it would go on a shelf not that anyone wanted to give up space. Love your reviews. There’s a lot to like with some of the older ships but I don’t consider the oasis old!

Nice vid. Good size for a long trip. So how many people can stay in this suite? Does the price increase significantly more by every additional guest? Also, I forgot to ask the other day. If a couple reaches pinnacle, do each of them gets a free cruise for two or do they have to share the one cruise? Thanks

This room can accommodate 8 people I believe. 2 in the primary, 4 in the secondary, and 2 on the couch. Good question on the Pinnacle... I believe if each person individually hits 700 points, they would each receive a cruise. Though, if one has 700 and the other has 150, only the 700 would receive the free cruise but the 150 person would still be a pinnacle because of spouse. Other Pinnacles, keep me honest on this one...

I honestly don't know the answer to this. If some of your party are not staying in a suite, they will definitely not have suite benefits. However, if the genie wants, I am sure they could help the non-suite guest - you just want to remember this when it comes time to tip the genie.

@@GGLC1989 I know they have fixed the wifi issue. Heard from some others who have stayed there sense. It is hard to fix a lot of the issues I called out. With the Aqua Theater, definitly buy into the concept you will have the best seats in the house every night! Noise in the living room is noticeable but we never found it distracting and it doesn't go on late.

I really like it. Its very remote so other than the Aqua show there wouldn't be much noise from other guests. The lack of Wifi is bad. For the amount of money you are paying, they need to get that fixed asap. But in general I find the Wifi on Royal caribbean to be fair to poor. I couldn't get much reception in an inside mid ship room. It was frustrating and I should have asked for money bk. In that aqua suite, I would be out on that balcony most of the time.....so much privacy When I was on Allure of the Seas I got confused and thought the long balconies facing the aqua show were public areas, lol

I have another question, the last ship we were on, I plugged in my computer to the TV to stream movies, because there was nothing on the TV to watch, and I could not select the HDMI port. Do you know of a way you can do that on a RC ship?

Interestingly, the TVs do not have any buttons on them and everything must be done through the remote. I have seen a few versions of remotes but majority do not come with a "source" function to change to HDMI. You would need to bring a universal remote to perform this function. The TV in my current room is a Samsung.

I believe the Crown Loft suite is still coming in around the same price? That will always be my favorite room on a cruise ship. The Aqua suite's main perk is the massive balcony that overlooks the aqua show. Depends on how much you value those two items...

I am sure you could put one on the table in the hallway but there is no plug there to keep it charged. Don't know many people that travel with one of these but would be recommended if you choose to book this suite!

I think you just are the type that cruises in a different way. We love the room and all the benefits. I suggest future videos should have a more positive tone. There is enough negative in the world, I don’t need it in the YT videos I watch.

Hey Michael, thanks for the note. You will be happy to learn that this is probably one of two "negative" videos I have ever published and they are no fun to make either! Though, given the price of this room, duct tape holding the curtains in place, and simply better/cheaper rooms to select, I couldn't in good faith promote this room. Keep in mind, a lot of the issues are unique to this ship and this room. If you stayed in a differnet 2-bedroom aqua suite, you probably had a much nicer expeirence. I do hope you check out some of the other videos for a more positive experience as learn I am an all right guy 😀

haha - for me, I keep it turned down when filming because I get worked up 😂 During the day, I keep it around the mid-way point and bring it down to sleep. I honestly did not care for the ship. The rooms are very dated. No Wi-Fi is ridiculous for the price. Some will say cruising is to disconnect, not in 2022. Allure is much more taken care of and hasn’t even done a dry dock TMK. Thanks for the review.

Yes, know that other Oasis Class ships might look and feel very different. And agreed on 2022, It is very rare I run into someone who has no connection to outside world for 7 full nights!

I think for one person it doesn’t make sense but for six adults the 2 bedroom aqua theatre suite is the room to get.

That could def be the case. Not many rooms can accommodate 6 people! Though, I think just getting seperate rooms might work just as well and connecting the balcony.

As someone who has stayed in that room I can personally say it is a waste of money. It is a very old, outdated room. The one bedroom Aqua suite is better along with the Crown Loft suite. As an experience cruiser the genie was wasted on us and definitely not needed. Internet in the room was nonexistent. The view was great though. You nailed this video of this room.

We stayed in the two bedroom aqua theater suite on Allure of the seas and we loved it. We got good reception on our wifi. For us the good out weighed the bad and would stay in it again if we could get it for 6 thousand for two

It was the smallest (height wise) shower I have seen on a ship so far. Shame it is in a Star Class room! You would really think it would have a higher end shower you can actually use if over 5'11.
