Orthodontic forced eruption (OFE) is a key method in restoring teeth with subgingival lesions or fractures, particularly in maxillary incisors. This technique helps re-establish biologic width and allows for restorative margins on sound dental tissue, improving both function and aesthetics. While surgical crown lengthening can increase supragingival tooth structure, it often leads to tissue rebound and aesthetic concerns, especially in patients with high lip-line. In contrast, OFE is a more conservative and physiological approach
My protocol for OFE in upper anterior teeth involves one millimeter of vertical activation per week, combined with an offset to direct the traction without moving the crown palatally

O fracionamento ortodôntico rápido é um método fundamental para restauração de dentes com lesões ou fraturas subgengivais, especialmente nos incisivos superiores. Esta técnica ajuda a reestabelecer as distâncias biológicas e permite a obtenção de margens restauradoras em tecido dental saudável, melhorando tanto a função quanto a estética. Enquanto o cirurgias de aumento de coroa clínica podem permitir acesso à estrutura dentária subgengival, muitas vezes ela leva a uma recidiva no posicionamento gengival, além de levar a prejuízos estéticos, especialmente em pacientes com linha do sorriso alta.
