What are good gloves for avionic and automotive painters??
@keithaudley86275 жыл бұрын
Those Ravens are awesome - Costco sells a box of blue, thick nitrile that I use exclusively now, not as strong as the Ravens but for a box of 100 at $12.99 cdn can't beat the price! I use them for tile, grout, paint, caulk - and cooking on the smoker at home!

Keith Audley I too use the Costco ones and noticed Walmart is selling black raven for about $18cdn. Think I’ll give them a try.

Thanks, Gloves are important part of the painting and if our hands are not comfortable than rest of the job will be difficult... going to start painting my home from next week..

I just started wearing gloves for painting, and it's actually the best thing ever because I get paint on my hands, and then when I paint that paint on my hand/fingers will smudge onto my painting, and ruin my painting.

I use the latex throwaway gloves and when they get all gummed up on my left index finger, I just throw it away and grab another. The only thing I don't like about these gloves is that you need to really get your now sweaty hands dry to get them on all the way so you have a nice tight fit at the end of your finger for caulking. Also they need to be small, or tight, enough so they don't have slack and folding in the finger tips. Larger sizes go on easier but don't always fit well enough for this kind of use.

I think I will buy un-coated gloves & buy separate liquid pvc or latex coating to dip the finger tips, hoping to give more flexibility and less heat . Love your videos.

I had a question off the glove topic.. so with the craze of the glitter walls... how hard is that to change when your tired of it back to regular eggshell finish
@Tehcarp5 жыл бұрын
Amanda Burns easy. Metal doesn’t bleed but you might need a more bit expensive primer. Quick answer one more coat

I started wearing gloves when working on my cars so I wouldn't have to spend so much time scrubbing up afterwards. Wow, what a game changer that was! I wish I had thought to do that back in my teens. Of course back then guys thought that was a panzy move,,, idiots. Later in life I was doing commercial HVAC and needed to work on equipment yet not get the customers ceiling dirty when replacing tiles. Better, leather gloves for the work and no gloves for the clean stuff turned out to be the best option for me then. For things like caulking and even painting I find the disposable latex gloves to be a good way to go. I do think the latex palm elastic-ey gloves (your white and orange ones) seem like a good option as well. I like the ones that fit well but they usually have a rough texture. Good for spraying of something but not so much for the caulking work. I need to try some smoother ones out for that. Side Note: Harbor Freight sells latex disposable gloves that are 9 mil, the thickest I have found, and are the most durable of this type in my experience. The only thing I don't like about them is how tight the wrist opening is. If I use the mediums they fit real nice but are hard to get on. The large ones go on a LOT easier but do have a bit of slack in the fingers. I still use them most of the time for almost everything.

Hey Chris, lovin’ the videos man keep it up! Curious about a product, Emerald Trim Enamel? Maybe you’d consider a review? No worries if not. Thanks

I thought it was crap compared to BM. Felt like primer, all chalky. I used satin and sprayed 3 coats, with 3 coats of primer m. Still felt like primer. I was disappointed, who know might have been the sheen not as high as BM idk

Gloves exterior painters fine but interior painters is a no no. Can’t tell when you have paint on them and it’s bound to transfer onto something in the home.
