I am heading over to your website for the “First Mile”. What you said about not seeking the Lord really nailed me. I live in Caldwell Idaho. I started hunting last year. Went solo into Lemhi area. I wasn’t successful, mostly due to lack of knowledge and experience, but I did bring my Bible and got one on one time with the Lord each evening. I’ve backslid pretty hard since then. I really appreciate your willingness to stop mid video to give us a reality check as to what really matters. Thanks Justin.

@@LimitlessOutdoors The hunting content is inspiring in and of itself. But there is gold within them in the form of scripture as well. I am going solo into the Selway zone for spring bear this year. Excited to see that area. I haven't been back in there yet. Do you have any tips for me as a seasoned hunter yourself?

I’ve not hunted the selway for bear but I know it’s good. Get as high as you can and glass all those basins. Look for good cliffy areas with the freshest grasses

Love your shows and our solution to “missing home” is we hunt together, as a family unit. Filling the freezer with elk meat is so satisfying and I enjoy teaching our kids to hunt even more than if I was the person behind the rifle.

Memories of past hunts came flooding in at the start of your video when you talked about all the hours and hard work that goes into the preparation of packing in and building a temporary home for the 2 week stay, like shoeing the mules, greasing trailer wheel bearings, the list just goes on and on, and when i speak of this to my friends and hunting buddies they all say thats too much hard work for a 2 week elk hunt in Colo.. I agree it is but i tell them, i make it a way-of-life, I am from Mo., am in my 60s now, my Nephews and friends all don't want any part of it so i basically had to quit, sold my 3 mules, I packed 10 to 12 miles into the Wemienuche and also the Routte National Forest several times, would like to go back sometime, always went during archery season, long range shooting never has impressed me, I want to get in close enough to smell them and hear nervous cows grind their teethe, belch, fart, and hear the grass being ripped out as they graze, I still go there in my dreams,. The Lord has been merciful to me because he was with me on every hunt...........
