What a great debriefing tool! I started racing in Condor only this past February, and found that the replay function with the 5 aircraft helped in showing me my mistakes (I had a lot) Im looking forward to flying my first Regional competition this autumn!

Stefan..... Its always good to see you competing .... What I find helpful is the part that you are analyzing your efforts. My question to you is .... are the others better at analyzing the conditions or all involved having the same chance.....

Some are better and some have better tactics. In this case it was good to fly the first part of the flight with the gaggle... of course you need to be good at thermaling and finding slightly better paths.

Everyone was a winner. It's an instrumentation problem. You need to be able to see the thermals. Two Doppler radars; one scanning horizontally, one scanning at 45deg. And an algorithm to interpret the resultant vectors.

Stefan, is your single variometer electric? If so why no mechanical variometer? Do you use TE probe or electronic compensation? Well done on overall result!

I´m just using the OpenVario and the gauge is displayed in the lower right corner of the big screen. At the moment the OpenVario only supports TE probe and no electronical compensation. To be honest the prototype vario in my LS3 is much better but it´s just a new technology. The "old" or "normal" e-varios all work somehow the same. At the end you can see that it´s also possible to fly with a normal variometer and to win a competition ;)
