Nice openers! I like AC better than DC. I also miss the older genie drives.

Yes! The old style Pro machines are some of my favorite Genie machines. That’s why I saved that Pro90, even though it doesn’t work right. I intend to fix it and give it life again;

For the opener, where does it say Sears craftsman?
@TheGarageDoorGeek18 күн бұрын
@@gunnarbondank3893 it’s been a while since I shot this, but the screw drive *may* have said Sears, but I know the chain drive didn’t.

My Wayne Dalton Pro Drive is a Z-wave model, what does that mean??? What can I do with it?
@TheGarageDoorGeek3 жыл бұрын
It means yours already has hardware in it to enable smart home control with ZWave. You’d have to have a ZWave hub, and since ZWave is a mesh network, you’d have to have other ZWave devices between the hub and the operator. As far as what all in the operator that enables, I have no idea. I have a ZWave 3220 (I think that’s the number) that have been meaning to connect to my controller and see what it gives. I should do that this weekend.

Hello I have a clopay duralift 8000 that was in my recently purchased new home . Are these worth putting money into or should I purchase another thanks
@TheGarageDoorGeek2 жыл бұрын
They are very uncommon so parts are incredibly hard to come by, plus they no longer meet current code. As much as I hate to say it, it's time for a new machine. Shoot me a DM.

Do you prefer torsion springs or do you prefer springs on the both sides?
@TheGarageDoorGeek3 жыл бұрын
Torsion springs. Less moving parts.

no more Chamberlain made screw drive openers :( if my Genie goes out I may have to get belt or chain drive AC. Genie only makes DC now:(

@@TheGarageDoorGeek I know but I like the sound of AC because that’s what my first opener was

No, I’m in Seattle, about 2 hours from the border, so we have a few SteelCraft dealers in the area. They seem like decent doors.

At least this wasn't a DC unit. I'd have probably been replacing it.
