Mine has the screw directly , no plug in front of it ! It is the same generator but sold in France. Strange !... Thanks a lot because I wanted to adjust it !

@@theetruealpha If you were really a true alpha, you would know what it does. It is the high speed fuel mixture screw. The one he adjusted is the low speed.

I realize this is a few years old - but I just replaced my carb on my Stormcat yesterday. Was curious, though - what is the correct number of turns out to start tweaking the mixtures? (And my new carb has an accessible external screw for both jets, now. Not hidden).

start with 2 turns out and get it running temp and adjust from there..

hey Shawn great video but im wanting to use a 63cc allpower motor(same as tailgator) to power my sons razor dune buggy its in the fabracation process now and i want to be able to raise the throttle without the surging from the govenor ?? what should i do. Please help

I tried this and it doesn't work, behind that copper cap is another copper cap that looks like an adjustment screw, I drilled it out and there is nothing behind it, I just put a little opoxy and sealed it back up even though there's nothing for outlet or adjusting.

Mine actually has a needle valve screw there but then it hasn't been interfered with by the numpties at the EPA( protecting your interests🤢🤢😆)

My older one is like that, my newer ones have the tamper-proof plug.

@@MicRuLerZ with no electric load, back it out till slight 4-stroking occurs. I noticed if set too lean, then while under electric load the engine governor will hunt.

I got mine but it wont start and the idle mixture adjusting screw is 4 and half turns out. It would be great to know roughly how far out it should be. Also, is it an air screw or fuel screw. IE does unscrewing it, give it more air or fuel and therefore weaken mixture or richen mixture? Some facts would be useful please.

About 2or 2 -1/2 turns out is in the ball park . Not sure what might be wrong there . rich mix is out lean is in . Those are the facts ! Thanks

Make the adjustment at idle? Edit: I backed mine out a half of a turn. It was screwed shut.

I messed with mine at idle and run speed and both made a difference . Idle seemed to make more though .. Thanks !

@@shawnmrfixitlee6478 the eBay carb seems to give more room to fiddle with it. But yeah even the small adjustment I made helped it out a lot. I might buy a eBay carb for a emergency backup. I’m running this little baby in Ida aftermath !

Because it was running poorly .. The aftermarket carb has one that's not hidden . so I figured there had to be one under that plug..
