May I ask around what time did you get to the Grand Canyon south rim in day one, and for how long did you stay? I am also planning on a 1-day visit to the Grand Canyon so I'm wondering how many hours would be enought to get to see the main spots. Thanks.
@DomanationTravels4 жыл бұрын
I arrived around 2:00 PM. You do lose 1 hour when you drive from Vegas because of the time zone difference.

I do kinda wished I stayed an extra day for more time but I also had the bad luck of getting snowed in during my second day which forced me to take a big detour to horseshoe bend.

Thanks for the tips! Which month did you travel?

Thanks for the question. This was in the middle of February.

Great video! Where did you stay in day 1?
@DomanationTravels5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. I stayed at a Holiday Inn in Tusayan right by the park entrance. Since it was the winter season the price was not bad. Another option I considered was staying in Flagstaff but that is an hour away from the park. Of course, in the warmer months camping is an option too.I hope this helps!

The drive to Antelope Valley was only 3 hours from Grand Canyon? How much did you pay for the Antelope Valley Tour?
@DomanationTravels5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great questions. 3 hours is about right for the drive time from Grand Canyon Village but you can do it in 2.5 hours without stopping. It is a decent drive but it helps that Horseshoe bend is right here as well. To visit the lower canyon (which is what I did) it is not cheap at $50 per person. The upper canyon is even more expensive (I think it $100 now!).

How busy was the antelope canyon?
@DomanationTravels4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. It was pretty busy. You are sent in with multiple groups each having a dozen people or so. It's also recommended to book a spot in advanced. Hope this helps!

Where did you stay overnight?
@DomanationTravels4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question, I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Tusayan. I was there in the off season so the price was reasonable. For budget options I heard a lot of people will stay further away in places like Flagstaff.

Can we use GPS on phone to go there?
@DomanationTravels2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. It is possible to do that but you need to make sure you have the map saved on your google maps or other map app otherwise you won't have many details. If you plan to get a cellular data roaming package then it will be no problem, that's what I had for this trip.
