What an amazing camp, beautiful scenery and the castle is amazing, the stonework is done so well, just think of how much wood was burnt in that huge fireplace, i love history and this video ticked all the boxes...jeff.

I really enjoyed this one Ally. I generally like all vids from my outdoor subs feed, but this one was just that extra special. The effort put in to getting there marks a video out as better than the average. And what a location! Annoying sheep & their 💩 aside, it had everything. An island location, a shipwreck, castle ruins and wildlife. When I eventually get north of the border I wanna see a golden eagle. Only ever seen a captive one. Stunning blood moon shot too. You packed all that in, plus the elements. As a fair weather camper who's looking to challenge himself, I take my hat off to you mate. 10/10 mate👍

You dont really get to watch and enjoy your own videos as you know what happened before and after the cuts etc. Just wish id caught the golden eagle on camera . That looked a great camp and location. Aye thensheep don't give a toss about the time of day, been wakened a few times by them.😅. Did I hear right you've joined the bobcat club? I can vouch for it in all weathers. Mine has been battered! I got mine during the first lockdown and used it all the time, then a bit less as I had a silly amount of tents, so when I had a clearout the bobcat was one I kept and I've practically lived in it every weekend this last 12-18 months and it stands up to anything! I don't mind single skin tents either. I know you get condensation but nothingna wipe won't solve so like your crua tent too 🏕🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I got a loan of the bobcat off craig for this trip as its smaller and lighter than the crua duo . But after checking the weather , i opted to carry the extra weight and take the crua in case i had to live in the tent 😁 the bobcat is on the snug side for me lengthwise , but the vestibule is decent size . Just back from an eventful 2 day trio to skye (video soon) Hope u and spike are keeping well , thanks for watching 👍🏻🏕

@OUTDOORALLY aye sometimes the extra weight is worth it. I remember you saying you thought it might be a bit snug for your height a while back. It's OK if it's just to get your head down but I wouldn't like to be confined to the tent for any length of time. Aye all good here, spike had a bit of a flare up with his stomach and chest but it's settling again. I'm off next week so we're going to start off in Orkney as none of us have been before. Not been to skye for a couple of months as it was starting to get busier than we've ever seen the last time, so might take a wee trip next week, or after that when it quietens down a bit again cos I've never seen it that busy early on 😳. I took my niece for her first camp cos she loves the outdoors and has been dying to camp but my wee sister isn't a camper, so I'll be getting harassed when I get back no doubt cos she loved it. Never went far just in case she wasn't happy but I didn't think it would be a problem 😂🏕🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍

@OUTDOORALLY if you get the chance try the bobcat with a tarp, I don't use a tarp often cos it's too much faff 😂, but nice to still sit outside at a fire if the weather turns or is about to, its a good wee tent if it does fit you.

its an old abandoned fishing boat on the beach and i cant find a name for it .....................But Little Horseshoe Bay is also reputed to be home to the wreck of the Diamond, a tobacco ship that plied its trade between Oban and the Caribbean.

Interesting , did a bit of research myself after the trip , apparently it was the 'hyacinth' which set on fire while at sea in 1920 and was pulled to the shore there
