Watching this and remembering the scorching summer 2022 . Sat on the beach with my best friend of 30 years my wife and my brother at north landing Flamborough eating freshly caught cod and mackerel! Good times, sadly lost my friend to cancer in December last year ( only 45) 😢. Miss you Ricky pal.

Great vid Mike, your dad is a legend. Your dad should be a voice in parliment for how government should coach/teach/educate the youger generation who are struggling right now, as government's have absolutely no idea !!. The youth of today need people like your dad as mentors !!! With your reach, please do someting to elevate your dad even more 😊👍 Maybe your dad can present on the bushcraft show stage 2025 on how he sees what young people could be doing outdoors. ✌

I love listening to your pops talk. Aside from the fact that he's brilliant, the older generation British accent is lovely to hear as an American. I've never done beach fishing like that, only ever fished in the ocean off a boat. Otherwise it's all lakes, rivers and creeks. Bass can be good eating.

Your Dad looks great. I'm in Florida and we always called those little sharks Sand Sharks. Also tell Dad that this Southern lady can tell him for a fact that he will never win an argument or bargain with a Southern Lady. We never back down and always say just what we think. Great story.

I’ve got another one of my bad ideas, and after watching some of your videos, I’m hoping that both father and son can make it even better. After watching your video about building a boat, the next big video both of you can produce in the future for someone like me who has yet to make it across the pond to the, “land of my ancestors” and have you sign a few copies of the books you’ve written over the years (like Fishing For Trout, etc) is for both father and son to make a couple of coracles together and take them out on the water for fly fishing. Think about it, because EVERYONE will watch this as it will be one of your finest videos ever made. 😇

Dear TA outdoors. 👍👌👏 Your Dad is hilarious and extremely fit for being 74 years old. Quite impressive. I like the episodes with you two respectively 3 being together the most. Nowadays it's unfortunately not common to go together so well. Congratulations 🎉 to both of you. 2) Please kindly allow me to suggest something: To avoid wind going through the burning rack, simply lean an old piece of sheet metal or corrugated sheet metal against it. This will also stop the wood from burning down too fast. To still be able to show the flames, you have to film from the opposite side then of course. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved humans and the cute dog. 💚

Great video with your dad. I'd love to see more like that, please? Be wary of using a lot of coal in your fire frame. Use some, but not exclusively, as it will buckle the metal work. I had something similar that was concreted into the garden back in the 70's. It worked a treat.
