It's always a pleasure to hear that our content is hitting the mark and making trip planning more enjoyable. 🎉 Beijing is an incredible destination, offering a fascinating blend of historic wonders and modern innovations. As you count down to your adventure, here are three hot tips to enhance your Beijing experience: 1. Explore Beyond the Great Wall: Yes, the Great Wall is unmissable, but venture to the less crowded sections like Mutianyu or Jinshanling for a tranquil and unique experience. Consider an early morning or weekday visit to beat the crowds. 2. Savor the Local Cuisine: Dive into Beijing's culinary scene with not just the iconic Peking Duck but also local favorites like Zhajiangmian, Jianbing, and traditional hot pots. Street food tours are an excellent gateway to a variety of authentic flavors. 3.*Embrace Public Transport: Utilize Beijing's extensive, efficient, and budget-friendly subway system to navigate the city. It connects the majority of tourist spots, is equipped with English signage, and is your best bet against the city’s traffic jams. We hope these tips help make your Beijing journey even more memorable. Is there anything specific you’re looking forward to in Beijing, or are there any other ways we can assist you in your trip planning? Safe travels and take a lot of photos! 🇨🇳✈️📸

All amazing tips, so helpful!!!!!!!!!!! What parts of town would you recommend visiting to escape the populated tourists spots and seeing more of a local side of the city. Like where people who live in Beijing eat, dine and recreate. @@towntraveltips

@alexmelendez5404 It's fantastic to hear about your plans, and choosing just one city in China can indeed be a tough decision due to the country's vast cultural and historical wealth. For first-time visitors, especially from the US, Beijing is indeed a top choice. Not only does it give you the opportunity to experience the Great Wall, but it also offers a plethora of other historical sites such as the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, which provide deep insights into China's rich heritage. However, if you have specific interests, other cities might also appeal to you. For instance: - Shanghai is perfect if you're fascinated by the blend of modern skyscrapers and historic colonial architecture. It's a cosmopolitan city with a vibrant nightlife and bustling markets. - Xi'an is ideal for history buffs. As the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army, it provides a unique glimpse into China's ancient civilizations. - Guilin offers breathtaking natural landscapes. The Li River cruise and the rice terraces of Longsheng are incredibly picturesque, making it a great option if you're a nature lover. Think about what interests you most about China. Is it the history, the natural beauty, the modern city life, or perhaps the culinary experiences? This can help guide your decision. Feel free to share more about your travel preferences, and we can dive deeper into making your trip a memorable one! Safe travels, and keep soaking up the joy of discovery through our videos 😊 @alexmelendez5404

Hopefully will be visiting Beijing but just for 3 nights and 2 days end of the month of July. Will try to visit first 3-4 spots from your recommendations. But will i be able to book an english speaking guide in advance?

Hi @nafeesrahman5611! That's great to hear! For an English-speaking guide, it's definitely possible to book one in advance. Many tour companies in Beijing offer this service, and booking ahead is a good idea, especially for peak travel times like July. You can also check online on either GetYourGuide or Viator. We hope you have a fantastic trip and thank you for watching! 💛

Hello, i wanted to spend 2 days in beijing in low-cost. Can you please tell me the subways and metro to each place.

Hello @aryamohandas745 and thank you for watching! 💛 Navigating Beijing on a budget is definitely doable, and using the city's extensive subway system is a great way to save money while exploring. Here's a quick guide, maybe not super comprehensive, on how to reach some of the top places mentioned in the video through public transports: 1. Great Wall of China (Mutianyu Section): Unfortunately, the subway doesn't go directly to the Great Wall. However, you can take the Beijing Subway Line 2 or Line 13 to Dongzhimen, then transfer to the 916 Express or 916 bus to Huairou North Avenue (Huairou Beidajie), and finally, take a local taxi or mini-bus to Mutianyu. 2. Forbidden City (and Tiananmen Square): Take Line 1 to Tiananmen East or Tiananmen West Station. Both the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square are a short walk from these stations. 3. Temple of Heaven: Take Line 5 to Tiantan Dongmen Station, which will drop you right at the East Gate of the Temple of Heaven complex. 4. Summer Palace: Take Line 4 to Beigongmen Station, which is directly north of the Summer Palace. For other locations: - 798 Art District: Take Line 14 to Wangjing South Station, and then a short taxi or bus ride will get you there. - Hutongs: For a glimpse into the traditional alleyways, head to the area near the Bell and Drum Towers using Line 8 to Shichahai Station. Using the subway in Beijing is cost-effective, and most signs and announcements are in both Chinese and English, making it easier for international travelers to navigate. The subway system connects most parts of the city, and it's the best option for getting around quickly and cheaply. PRO TIP: don’t forget to purchase a reloadable Yikatong Subway Card for convenience (you can buy and top this up at any station), and always have a subway map app on your phone to plan your journeys effectively. Enjoy your adventure in Beijing, and feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need further travel tips! Safe travels! 🚇✨
