Interesting thing about Calgary Tower, too, is it was made in one continuous pour of concrete made over 24 days, a real accomplishment of it's time. It used to be the highest building when it was first built. Peace Bridge has had to have several repairs after vandalism. There is also the zoo on Prince's Island that is well worth the stop. Had no idea about the go karts. Definitely will check them out next visit

The bridge was actually not under construction again. It had glass panels all along it and someone broke all of them. They had to be fully replaced.

FYI, we really do not get a lot of snow in the winter. A great many places in the states get much more snow. We do however, every winter get one or two bouts of cold weather. -30 Celsius is not uncommon, and it lasts for one to two weeks at a time. On the plus side of this, when the temperature is this cold there are absolutely no mosquitos to bug you.😄

Calgary does not get a lot of snow. Its a semi arid climate and has periods of very warm spells in winter.

Citizens who say "Constantly picking up garbage" is possibly why the city is cleaner than others. 😊

You haven't visited NE Calgary, especially neighborhoods near the airport. Immigrants live in NE and they like the garbage, it's a reminder of the countries they come from.

Parts of Calgary are clean during the summer months, but it is not the cleanest city in the world and it's far from it. NE and SE parts of the city literally have areas with third world conditions thanks to Liberal Mayor failed policies, in the winter there is garbage everywhere, the infrastructure is crumbling due to mismanaged taxpayer dollars and the roads are on par with roads in the poorest parts of Eastern Europe. I was born here in 1981 and it's sad how badly the city has declined over the last 12 - 15 years all thanks to Mayors Nenshi & Gondek, along with heavy third world migration, homeless and drug addicts.

The problem with Calgary isn't its buildings or infrastructure...
@BiagioOliverio-c7t2 ай бұрын
While is Calgary is nice city, you need to live here to see real Calgary, infrastructure falling apart, cost of living getting is out of control, try to go out on the same areas when sun goes down and you will see a whole different city.
@graciefolden23592 ай бұрын
This could literally be said for the majority of cities in North America that are similar ages. Save your money and move if it's that terrible for your life here 🤷♂️✌
@BiagioOliverio-c7t2 ай бұрын
@@graciefolden2359 it’s obvious that you have been grown up here to see the differences. I can go to every city in the world and will find beautiful place to see.
@gs989992 ай бұрын
@@graciefolden2359Or how about instead of simply telling people to move away we try to stop all those things because he’s right. This is a beautiful city but it’s mismanaged and it’s growing way too fast that in another 20 years if nothing changes it will actually be like a big trashy city with many more issues.
