I’m born and raised in Milan, as experienced traveller I kindly suggest to not consider July and August to visit Milan it could extremely hot there transforming your trip in a nightmare! The best periods to visit the city are definitely October march April and may. Also other autumn and winter months are not bad if you are not afraid of a little bit of cold (not so much anymore).

thank you for watching! 💛 Do not miss to taste one very cheap yet delicious Panzerotto by Luini (close to Duomo) and enjoy the Galleria and the Castle!

Yes, coming to Malian for 2 day in October 2024 and 2 days in Lake Como, also a couple tours in both area’s and going to Lugano

Hi @kennymackie4518! Thank you for watching! 💛 That sounds like an amazing trip! You will definitely enjoy Milan and October is a great time to visit weather wise (usually at least!). In Lake Como, consider a boat tour to explore the beautiful villages like Bellagio and Varenna. A video about Como Lake is already in the pipeline! Lugano is lovely as well. Enjoy your travels!

@@towntraveltips We are doing 2 nights in Milan around early July. This video was very helpful indeed. Thanks again! ☺️

Even though the video is almost two years old, it is still pretty factual. Now, you can pay for all the metros/buses with credit cards, so there is no need to buy tickets. Uber still works, and while on the expensive side, it is way more reliable than local taxis. Some new cool rooftops opened (Horto, Mirador), and some excellent new pizzerias opened (Denis, Confine) as well. Buy tickets in advance for Da Vinci's Last Supper. Enjoy the Duomo's roofs. It will probably be hot in the summer, but you will have a great time in Milan!

Rembrandt’s night watch is in Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.

Hi @ldobrinsky! You're absolutely right-Rembrandt’s Night Watch is indeed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Not sure why it came up here, but we appreciate your sharp eye! Thank you for watching! 💛

Hello, I will follow this itinerary as we only have 2.5days in Milan. Will you prefer morning visit at the Last Supper or later in the afternoon? I will be buying ticket soon (for October) just waiting when it’s open to buy.
@towntraveltips6 ай бұрын
Hello @carmfe2688! Thank you for watching! 💛 The experience is similar whether you visit in the morning or the afternoon, as only 20-25 people are allowed inside at a time, and the schedule is strictly followed. You'll have around 30 minutes, which is enough time to see the Last Supper. There are only two artworks in the room: The Last Supper on one side and The Crucifixion on the other side. Remember to get the tickets way in advance; you will be ok if you purchase them now for October! Enjoy your visit, and let us know if you have any other questions for your upcoming trip!

1:18, a train station in Japan; 3:37, a restaurant in Hong Kong. Come on!

Hi @qing0412! Thanks for pointing that out. We use stock footage occasionally to enhance the video when it does not interfere with the actual facts and the narration of a given location. We appreciate your understanding and hope you still enjoyed the content. Thanks for watching! 💛

Between experiencing the Milan Train Station and the Milan Airport and the Milan Airport Shuttle system I’d have to say stay the heck away from Milan !
@towntraveltips2 ай бұрын
Hi @glenngouldification! Thanks for sharing your experience. Sadly, you're right - while the connections are there, the services haven’t been running as smoothly as they should lately. Hopefully, things improve soon, as Milan has so much to offer beyond the transportation hiccups. Thank you for watching! 💛

The narration is so odd- is it a bot? The pronunciation of "Mee-lahn" and risotto... so bizarre.
@towntraveltips9 ай бұрын
@user-zo2ki7hy8j Thank you for your keen observation! To clarify, the narration in this video isn't generated by a bot-it's actually provided by a real person from Seattle with an American accent. While we strive for accuracy and authenticity in all our content, including the pronunciation of non-English words, there might be instances where our efforts fall short, particularly with languages we're not natively proficient in. We're continually learning and improving, and your feedback is a crucial part of that process. Thank you for watching!
