Hello, Leigh Anne and Danny!! Oh, you were im my city!! So happy to see that you enjoyed and had a great time in my Milan! Isn'it AMAZING? And there are some hidden gems, many other places and wonderful Churches to discover, but you did the most famous landmarks absolutely fundamental to visit when in Milan. Very, very nice to see you enjoy the beauty, the delicious food, nice to see you run around.... Very, very happy to have found your channel through your visit to mine, guys. I began to check out your channel from my city, but I rrally want to discover more!! Love to travel me too. Back just yesterday from a short gateway to Palma de Mallorca that my husband gave me for my birthday to have some moments of serenity after long painful months due to the loss of my sweet, adored Dad, but it seems that this annus horribilis never ends.... Just yesterday, the last day, they stole my husband's money and documents.... Anyway, traveling is WONDERFUL and this kind of things can happen, unfortunately. Oh, BRAVO to both of you for the quality of the shots and editing!! Really, really top notch!! Guys, I joyned your channel with great pleasure! New sub and friend from Milan!!😉 Wishing you the BEST!! Hugs and cheers. Renata🔔👍😘😍🖐🖐

The cathedral roof worked better than Meteora... I might try it this April, since I am also afraid of heights and edges 😅

Did you walk everywhere or take the public transit? If walking how long did it take? What kind of footwear did you wear? We are going in November.
@thisismayberry3 ай бұрын
Hi April! We primarily walked most places, though we did take the train from the Milan airport to the central part of the city and that was a good experience and easy to navigate. We stayed right near Castello Sforzesco, so the Duomo was only 10 minutes away and the other places we visited were within a 30-minute walking radius. Also, with all those extra steps (averaged 20,000 a day I think) we indulged in extra gelato and pasta 😄 I would definitely recommend comfortable shoes. I hope you have a great time in November! Let us know if we can help answer any other questions, we are happy to help in the planning process

Consider that Milan was heavily bombed in 2 ww and most of the city had been completely rebuilt..even all sites you showed

noooo....the Duomo is still original. I was never hit
@carlorad3 ай бұрын
@@AlessandroBralia non avevo accennato al duomo ma a milano in genere! Però da internet….nella notte tra il 15 e il 16 agosto 1943 una pioggia di bombe cadde su Milano. Il Duomo stesso fu severamente danneggiato, soprattutto all'esterno.

How long would you say should I allow for the Duomo visit including the rooftop?

As an Italian, there are a few things that irk me as much as hearing an Italian-American saying "I am Italian". No, you are not. You are American.
@thisismayberry5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the correction 🙏we never mean to offend and are always looking to learn
@alicetwain5 ай бұрын
@@thisismayberry you see, we appreciate that Italian-Americans are proud of their roots, but you said it yourself: you don't have the culture, you don't have the passport, you don't even speak the language. There is a huge difference between "I am an American of Italian heritage" and "I am Italian".
