Loved the video. You comment about your meal in Seward....we had the worst meal of our Alaska trip in Seward. We really enjoyed the town though. I would definitely like to check out Valdez.

Thank you! Looks like you had a similar experience in Seward. But boy is it beautiful! Highly recommend Valdez and McCarthy if you can get out there. Hiking to the glacier there was awesome!

The views of the mountains and the waterfalls are just amazing. The narration on the old Valdez town was sad, but glad the town still survives. The food at both places looked yummy. Thank so much friends for showing us the town of Valdez. Really enjoyed 😊

Julie, I have original photos my grandfather took of the original town. My grandparents along with my dad lived thru the earthquake that day in Anchorage. I'm not sure if I can send you a picture, but I'll try.

Alaska totally amazes me. I knew someone who worked on the piepline in the early '70's. They were paying something like $25 hr. when the average worker was making $150 a week, maybe.

Oh yea! I read about that when I was making the Dalton Highway videos! Some people made bank quick! There’s some cool stories too. Like they hired out a group of welders for the pipeline from Oklahoma and everyone hated them 😂 it’s a fun topic to read up on.

What month is this video made? If it is current (November/December) I would have thought there would be a lot of snow. Enjoying your channel!
@NickandJulie10 ай бұрын
This was filmed in August. we are a bit behind; it takes some time to edit these videos and get them out. You would be correct- if it was current, there’d be tons of snow! Valdez is the snowiest town in Alaska! They have a live cam if you want to check how it looks now. So happy to hear you’re enjoying our channel 😊

How has your rig been holding up during your trip in Alaska. Things like heater, leaks, cooking, expenses etc.... Curious minds want to know. Lol
@NickandJulie10 ай бұрын
Great questions! Maybe we’ll do a Alaska recap/q&a video of some sort at the end? But the rig held up fine on our entire trip thank God! We were worried bc of our tire problems before the trip but everything went well 🙌 biggest expense had to be fuel- so much driving and long distances between places. We did keep track of how much we spent on fuel so we need to count up the total and put it in that video.

The most expensive city in Alaska in terms of housing and food
@NickandJulieАй бұрын
Didn’t know that. Is that because it’s more desirable to live there?

I am not convince the way Solomon Hatchery is doing it by putting an end salmon's life ! I thinks that's their way is to make money on Salmon.
@NickandJulieАй бұрын
Yea it seems kinda cruel but it’s just the normal lifecycle of salmon. The salmon come back to the rivers from the ocean to lay eggs and then die.
