2 dead in wrong-way, suspected DUI crash near Boulder City

Two people were killed in a wrong-way suspected DUI crash near Boulder City, according to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol.

I am conservative but I also think that some people should not allow to have kids. Drunk, driving and have two kids in a wrong way car? This should be charged as first degree murder.

DUI causing substantial bodily harm or death has a minimum penalty of 2 years. This should be increased to 15 years minimum, but do nothing governor Lombardo hasn't pushed for higher punishment and the man was a former cop.

What is true is that violent crime decreased from 2018 - 2021 while sisoklak was in charge, while in lombardo’s tenure up to date we see an increase in crime in Nevada and the nations violent crime is decreasing.

The drunk will always survive, due to the alcohol in thier system is like a muscle relaxer. When the crash happens their body moves with the motion of their car! In 80% of the cases, this will happen. Thank goodness the drunks poor kids are alive, and shame on them for drinking drunk! Teo innocent ppl are gone because they had to drink and drive. When will these alcoholics learn to uber? Even if uber was free, they probably would still drive too! 😡

I’m born and raised in Las Vegas and I’m 50 years old. The problem is people driving under the influence and out of town people that are not used to Nevada highways exits and entrances. If you’re not familiar with some of the exit and entrance highway ramps around Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City they can be confusing especially if you are under the influence.

Its so sad because i know the impaired driver. We both go to the same aviation maintenance school and even hung out with him a few times outside of school. We warned him a few times to stop drinking and driving but it didn't help. Feel so bad for the victims family and his kids for being there. They probably will have a meeting tomorrow at school to talk about him since he's a student there

I drove through here 10 minutes earlier. This could’ve been me. Drove back the other direction an hour later and it looked horrific. Couldn’t even tell what kind of vehicle the one in the median ditch was it was so mangled. Horrible to find out it was a drunk driver that took two other lives. God rest their souls. 😢
