Thanks Gash - going to get me one of those drills - grinding by hand is very very annoying!

I have that same drill, dad bought it to do the first reno on the house in the very early 90s, and mum still uses it today, actually I used it last summer to brace the hand rails.

Nice video and great updates in this. Glad to see you got a new drill that will work for you. I have a home brew supply shoo only a 5 minute walk from my house and I just get them to crush it for me.........Take care, Bluefin. 🍻

You finally lashed out and bought one :) I know I suggested that drill some time ago but I'm still using a battery powered Ozito drill/driver on my mill. Main reason is I can't get it off the shaft, it's totally jammed on there, so I'll keep using it till it burns out and then upgrade my mill and drill together:) I use it 30 seconds on and 30 seconds cooldown just to keep it alive. Luckily I only do cornie sized batches now so not a big deal for me. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Off topic.. I recently purchased a klarstein electric brew system.. Robo brew type system.. My question is there's 2 gallons of dead space under the lower mash tube screen.. How much does your robobrew have? Also what is your water to grain ratio for mashing? Your videos converted me to this style of brewing from a three vessel set up.. Gonna be a learning curve just don't want to farge up my first batch.. Take care and keep the videos coming!

Hey mate Is that on lowest speed trigger in full? I have just got the same mill and wondering about speed
@HomeBrewNetwork6 ай бұрын
you dont want to go fast, you can just shred the grain, too slow it wont work, in numbers its 150-200rpm

Since the shaft on my mill is 3/4" I had to use a bigger motor with an 180 rpm gearbox kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYaYo2mPesmkl5Y

Still rate the cheap mills mate? Everyone says they won't last but I get the feeling it's just something people parrot to each other on the web.

Thats not a cheap mill.. its going strong still...

@@HomeBrewNetwork good to hear man. They're cheap in terms of brewing mills though aren't they? Chinese KK/KL ones are like a quarter of the price of others. I reckon I might give one a shot though, thanks for all your vids dude, perfect learning style for me. Maybe I could send you a brew one day?
