The last point is really important. I have noticed that when I am lost in my own thoughts, I walk hunched over, looking down with a frown. Then I remind myself that everything is beautiful and I automatically smile and walk upright and people suddently start greeting me.

Yeah it happened to me too, our minds can be so powerful that they can help us or destroy us. Our mission is to control that power.

I feel like the second point can be applied to one's self as well. Whenever you feel like you're about to judge yourself, tell yourself "bless you", too.
@lonestarr14903 ай бұрын
Yeah, no, won't work for me. I've lied to myself for my whole life so that I've by now learned to see right through my own BS. Hence, I've lost the ability to change my attitude towards myself by changing my attitude towards myself. In other words, I'm too self-aware, if you will. And I doubt that's something you can unlearn to be.
@aguasadonas83463 ай бұрын
@@lonestarr1490 Same bruh, I'm now smart enough to know that my lies that I tell myself will not work, whether they may actually be lies or not. And they do not work anymore, or just work very little, less than they did in the past.

Yeah I agree with you both; it's a lot easier said than done. It's too ingrained in my system to unlearn the pattern as well.

You just verbalised what improved my social life just point after point nailing it without me even realising it. I've been spending more time in my garden and therefore off social media, getting closer to god and just being present which results in me blessing people as I walk past. The only downside is that I can't shake the feeling people think of me as a big smiling idiot as I walk past 😂. Oh and stopping trying to control other peoples reactions also helped.

I still remember coming back from 7 days of camping with no phone or even radio reception and being the most alert and interested in my friend's conversations and feeling excited just to hear their stories. I think its sad how many people wear earphones whilst out walking or even at cafes, or on public transport, but each to their own I guess.

No. Bless **you** for sharing these stories, the advice, and everything. You are amazing and I appreciate you. Also, I adore the community, these are the people I wish to be around in life. Living is hard enough without people judging you when they couldn't even know you after years if they tried. I am only human. And so are you. We shouldn't expect so much. We should only be grateful that we are alive at all, on the one planet that can both create and sustain life, in the galaxy for as far out as we can see.

The second point reminded me of a Buddhist practice of non-judgemental curiosity. Observing the world and passing no judgement, but to take it further you can wish ‘Metta’ which is an ancient Indian language word in Pali for loving kindness. Very similar to bless you, you can you phrases such as, “may you be happy, and may you grow”. If you want to learn more about the field of thought research Metta meditation, it’s very powerful.

When you wish something for someone, eventually you create it in yourself too. So, you bless someone, thus you'll be too. If you do that consistently, eventually you will change. There is a saying: If you say something 40 times, it becomes real. So, I bless you the person who read this. 😊

Referring to women as females is always so wild to me lol
@Moonlight_dark-473 ай бұрын
Why exactly?
@Ragnaraq13 ай бұрын
@@Moonlight_dark-47 it's just kinda weird and vaguely dehumanizing. Like, it's a biological term which refers to which gametes the person/animal/plant produces. For all I know, when he said he had a conversation with a beautiful female on the train, he could've been admiring and speaking softly to a tulip. Usually I just say 'person' rather than describing someone by their sex cells. It's not a deep rub I just think it's a common and rather strange usage of language.
@Mikke-G2 ай бұрын
Maybe for English speakers it's weird but most languages in the world have feminine or masculine terms so it's normal
@Ragnaraq12 ай бұрын
@@Mikke-G I mean English has 'man' and 'woman' which are masculine and feminine, respectively. Like, I would say "Newel is an attractive man" Rather than "Newel is an attractive male"
