Nice. There's only one thing that sounds better than a well playes Castagnari, and that's two of them. Or maybe a good Salterelle.

These videos are a real joy! Congratulations and thank you both for sharing your talent on this forum. I kinda wonder how long have you both been playing the melodeon? I guess many years in a row according to your performances? By the way, did I mention you look like The Man in Black (be it more in Blue Jeans)?...LOL... Daniel

Fantastic playing! I am enjoying learning to play and your music inspires me. I bought a Hohner Pokerwork D/G and it sounds so nice. 'Tom 'O' Vickers' sounds very much like "I'll Go and Enlist for a Sailor" are they the same tune?

@theodorerodas87973 жыл бұрын
what are the two songs?
@DerekTheNutter3 жыл бұрын
The 2 tunes learnt from the playing of Saul Rose, first tune is a variant of “go enlist for a sailor” and the second tune Knifes Edge again from the playing of Saul , the tunes are used in Chiltern 100’s Morris dance called “Shevington Moor” and you can hear us playing it for the dance side in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqrMnJKBnZV-lbs , Saul Rose was one of the initial musicians from the side who we learnt from.

@magenta67546 жыл бұрын
Not all traditional songs are Irish! England has a rich and particularly beautiful heritage of folk music - check out Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Pentagle etc. Who all performed beautiful English folk.
@Wotsitorlabart2 жыл бұрын
@@magenta6754 The various Albion Bands are perhaps the only folk band from the 'classic period' to play English songs and tunes. All the ones you mention have Irish songs/tunes in the mix.
@HelenBlyth-z2i Жыл бұрын
Hi, I really want to learn these tunes, are your boxes D/G? It would be easier to learn by playing along, do you play out sometimes? Helen 🪗😎
