2 EURO per cut! Is this Aliexpress sabre saw my worst online purchase?

I paid 30 euros for this entire kit. Was it worth it? Would you or should you even consider it? How do you think it performed? Let me know.
A couple of notes on the tool.
- The vibrations are at some points quite a lot so you need a very good grip on the tool.
- I am very reluctant to leave a battery and charger from Aliexpress plugged in unattended. I would not recommend anyone just leave them aside to charge and not be around.
- Even though sellers on Aliexpress claim they have a warranty plan I am certain that in most, if not all cases this will not be the case and so you can't count that as a valid warranty.
I titled the video 2 Euros per cut as the total kit cost me 30 Euros and I managed about 15 cuts with it on a full battery and that was just about enough to give up on the tool completely.

I ve got an identical one from parkside for 30 euros. It also has adapters for branches. Support. Gifted it to my friend as I ve got a performance 20v version. He likes it very much.

The adapters are a real help for branches. Without said adapters it is difficult to cut branches with this. Hands down the Parkisde is a lot better than this. The battery charge time on this is absolutely appalling!

@@BrokeLifeEU I have never used thr 12v version. tho the 20V sabre saw is a beast. Rebar cut efforlessly with it. No sparks.

I have the new big sabre saw. The corded one 1250W I believe. I am planning on a video with it soon. It might turn out to be interesting, you never know 😂

-can't leave the battery charging unattended -takes 5 hours to charge -Small chance your workshop might just burn down if you leave this plugged in Yeah, nah, gonna give this one a miss 😆 Some people love to hate on Parkside but it's a much better option than these mystery tools

What do you mean small? The worst part about doing this sort of video is getting the tool and then plugging it in for the first time! My anxiety is on another level at that point! We have all seen the videos... Absolutely on the Parkside part! They provide a really good money/quality ratio for the average DIY-er like myself. As I have said if I could I would buy Mulwaukee. But I can't. So had there been no supermarket tool brand such as Parkside or Ferrex I would be tool-less.

@@BrokeLifeEUYes. And the parkside one was the same price. Plus support for branches and 2 blades. Okay thats the 12V version. But doubt that its much weaker than this.

I have an (almost) identical looking one that takes makitta style batteries. I thought it would last a day or 2 (I needed it for one specific job). It was 30 euros. It has been to hell and back and still works. It smells nasty if you overheat it. But it gets hot enough to burn your hands without dying itself if abused (cutting treee roots still in the ground)

These types of tools have become pretty good actually for the price. The issue is the battery. They take too long to charge and I just don‘t trust them that much so I can let them charge overnight. I am sure that with a genuine Makita battery it would be a completely different tool. However if I get a Makita battery I may as well also buy a genuine Makita tool or even a used one.

It would be interesting to know code on cells in this battery pack. Also, looks like bms is not so fine. 5 hours... Maybe charger can make difference. All of that I saw with my 2 chinese tools. Repacked 2 packs and got some extra power and durability. One charger is really good. But it is not laptop form it is like a station. One like this is really bad but not that slow.

Absolutely no markings on the cells. Either all markings face inwards or they are ashamed to admit what they put in there 😄 they look like basic 18500 cells to me. The basic sort of cell all these fake/clone batteries use.

@@BrokeLifeEUthey have no shame. They will just print something outlandish like 6800mAh on an 18650 that is not even possible, or nothing at all

@@BrokeLifeEUjust replace cells with any other, even with old laptop, and you should get more lasting power. These are probably less than 1000mah. But tool is not bad. Here is about 45e with 2 batteries. Makita clone.

@@katarinak-vi7xc I am thinking of getting a battery adaptor from Makita to Parkside so I can use a proper battery and charger if I need to on any of these Aliexpress tools I keep buying.
