"Ejecto seato cuz!!! It worked...I love this button!!!! Hah hah!!! Mr O'connor it worked, blow and go baby we are all clear over here!!". That was always one of my many favorite scenes in 2F2F!!! And Tyrese is one hell of a stand out and unique character in it!!! They definitely chose the right person for that role when they cast him as Roman Pierce!! He's been one of my more favorite characters in the more recent F&F movies, only second to Paul Walker (of course!!😂), even though I honestly stopped being a diehard and devout F&F fan after the 4th movie "Fast and Furious". In my opinion, that really was the end of the series or rather like the end of an era as much as I honestly hate to admit and recognize, when it came to the main subject that the movie was centered around and why so many gearheads and tuners fell in love with these movies, which was of course, centered around not only the cars themselves and illegal street racing and the import tuner car culture in general but, the stories of the original "crew" or cast who we were all introduced to in the 1st F&F movie and who we all became attached to, loved, invested into their stories, struggles, and triumphs, and then considered as absolutely essential elements/characters when it came to making a true, legitimate, unique, and official F&F movie!!! And now of course, we have these awesome videos made by Craig Lieberman which include all kinds of great behind the scenes info, car specs, and myth dispelling facts that we otherwise might not have ever known if it weren't for him and his generosity, patience, consideration, respect, and selfless volunteering of his time, effort, and personal firsthand knowledge and experience when it came to the time he spent working and consulting on the set of the multiple F&F movies!! I don't know about the rest of you out there but, I honestly really appreciate his efforts and hard work in making these excellent videos because it allows me to reminisce and think back on that time in my life and all the memories of joy and happiness that these movies introduced into my life as it really took a latent interest in cars and really cemented it into a full on love, enthusiasm, and drive to learn more about cars, their operation, ability for modification and performance potential, and really an overall personal improvement and growth that comes about from learning new things and expanding one's horizons!!! So this one goes out directly to Craig Lieberman himself and Rob Cohen by association, "Thank you for unknowingly and unwittingly acting as a catalyst that started a substantial change in my life and serving as the motivation for the subsequent personal growth I went through thanks to the gentle nudge I was given thanks mainly due to the influence and impact that the F&F movies had on me as a young man!!" So thank you Craig, the great work you did during your time working on and consulting for the multiple sets of the F&F movies had a profound impact on me and so many other young men and women like me in the early 2000s and I'm honestly not sure that I can say that I would've ended up in the same place and with the same interests that I currently have if it weren't for the F&F movies and your influence and your diligence in doing all you could to ensure a certain level of authenticity and accuracy!! Your steadfast conviction and resolve on staying true to or as close to reality, authenticity, and tuner culture in general as possible was incredibly important, especially when it came to authenticity in portraying the tuner culture, JDM enthusiasts, and factually accurate representations of the cars, their styling (or what could be considered as respectable and tasteful cosmetic, aero, and some performance oriented mods that were meant to add to the overall visual appeal of the cars on which they were installed, within reason!), sounds, mods, performance, and technical jargon or nomenclature that, other than actual experienced tuners and gearheads themselves, ordinary and non-car guys would even be aware of or have any working knowledge of outside of certain racing games or car centric movies or TV shows!!! You're efforts definitely have NOT gone unnoticed and are incredibly appreciated....or at least I can honestly say that unequivocally about myself and on my own behalf but, with a fair amount certainty about many of my fellow car nuts, enthusiasts, tuners, and gearheads and how they most likely feel, as I'm sure that they most likely share my sentiments and opinions!!!! Anyways, keep on doing exactly what it is that you're doing now and I know that I will absolutely and undeniably be here to watch with enthusiasm and gratitude!!! Thanks again, good luck, and God bless!!!!✊👍👊🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The eclipse is such an odd car, and the 3G model has a following in Japan due to the USDM scene that has been around within the last 10-15 years there. I always thought of it as being different from the typical JDM car and how those were customized, and it showed me at that point that you can build a fast customized car and be flashy and stylish at the same time. It’s to the point where I have built cars in the past with family or friends and they were flashy cars but they were fast too. And it’s such a memorable car even though the engine note is wrong

For those interested: You can see his Benz on the magazine cover of DUB MAGAZINE - issue 6 (2001). He absolutely wanted his wheels on the movie Eclipse, so the stuff happened that you mentionned in the video. 👍 3) At 5:19 you can see "H8TER" (the word hater) on the license plate of the Eclipse. Another give away is the power mirror switch was moved in 2003 from the center console to the driver side door panel. Cant forget the GTS badge on the hatch either (5:20)because the GTS wasn’t introduced until 2003. At 2:01 you stated the car makes 200hp, which would be correct if it was a GT, but it’s not it’s a GTS making 210hp. The cars shown at 2:42 (red)and 3:43 (blue/silver) are 00-02.

And then I went to Google the spider web livery to show him. 0 results. Try it. I dug and dug to find this video. Post a photo and let people know how much worse it could've been. People (rightfully) hate this car, but you should show them what it was GONNA be. It'll get a lot less hate. Oh and if you see this, you're the GOAT. I know this wasn't your fault lol

Alot of people seem to dog on this car, I always loved it growing up. Made sense for Roman, flashy and a bit of an eyesore. Ejecto seato cuz!

Honestly I’m actually really glad the pink slip race was against the Camaro and Charger instead of the MR2 and NSX as those two muscle cars are probably my favourite ones

you earned your paycheck on this one.. I doubt there would have even been a franchise left if they made the movie the way they wanted to..

Man F&F 1 and 2 had so many memorable cars that stuck in my head I stopped caring at the fourth or fifth it was obvious that Vin Diesel had to come back to save his career after riddick and tripleX failed

Tyrese literally saved the looks of that car.

Haha. This movie is actually the main reason why I like the eclipse and currently own an 03 Spyder gts. Lol. The car was shit as far as it's performance. I know. The 2g was a fair bit better. But idk. I like the styling. If dreams came true I would pull the drive train from a wrecked Evo and put that in it... But we'll see what happens.

Can you just imagine the reaction from the audience if the movie people got their way and those RIDICULOUS stunts in the race got in the final movie? I probably would have torpedo the franchise, or worse, set the lame/ludicrous (not the actor) bar pretty high for the following movies. But here we are, with LA street racers now acting like elite Navy SEALS. Oh, Hollywood, must you ruin EVERYTHING?

Wish I would have made the investment last year to get one of these. There was a guy about 50 miles from me selling this exact Year Make and Model as a fixer upper for roughly 5 grand. It ran, didn't have any rust, solid all around but needed interior work and the paint was all original and starting to go. Ended up selling 3 days after it was listed online and regret not making a move on it.

one of the orange challenger cars made it on chop cut rebuild or another similar show at one point to be restored with all new sheet metal. I remember they were amazed at the poorly done metal work on the "movie car".
