This group of lifts is situated in a clinical building in Berne. They were installed upon construction of the building in 1991. Originally these lifts were equipped with Findili logic and an RST phase-cutting drive. In 2011, both lifts were modernised and got new MPK400 controllers and RST IMD drives. This is a very common selection of components for Emch. The DCP 4 communication protocol between the drive and the logic makes fully intelligent direct levelling possible.
This installation here stands out through the very high build quality of Emch's older installations. The lift cars both have have solid chassis and use rollers instead of gliders. They are generally built very well. The counterweights too are equipped with rollers, which is not seen very often in such low-rise applications.
