Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

In WWII, the Germans affixed quad cannons pointed vertically on the spines of some of their night fighters and used them to great effect against the British Lancasters, flying underneath of them undetected using radar and firing the guns straight up, shredding entire formations without ever being seen. I suspect if you had built a fighter with vertical guns, you could’ve parked directly over them and fired away all day since I’m not seeing much (any?) fire going up from that bomber… just a quirky and completely viable idea for your future toolkit ;)

do carrier battles, where 2 carriers at opposite sides of the islands have to fight eachother with 3 planes each with physical bombs, and bombs can only be reloaded at carrier (would be even cooler if the carriers were multi-parted to make them bigger)

Please do this but the little ones only have two bomb bays and the big one has a top speed of 60, or 80.with a 5 second boost on a 20 second cooldown

Speaking of bobbers like you said, a cool idea for a similar challenge to this would be a bomber plane trying to bomb a certain point on the map while fighters have to intercept. Like the American bomber missions in WW2

I remember a video where you had boat being chased by an attack plane with a destination of circling that island, to add challenge to these kind of video's you have made today you could always add some form of destination so that the overpowered person dose have to also try to be on some sort of path

air, land or sea, a big OP one with a goal, you are to destroy a specific target, the others goal is to take you out before your mission succeeds. another idea: big OP ship on the space map, your mission is to start at teh station and make it to as many planets as you can, you have to enter their atmosphere and fly through the atmosphere for at least 15 seconds for each planet, teh fighters goal is to stop you.

6:28 hey.... ScrapMan.... You just gave me a funny idea for a multiplayer challenge that IDK if it'll work, but if it does you could do it with just 2 KZbinrs or 3 or 4 etc. Everyone always asks me "ey what's the big Idea?" So the big idea is this. You have to build a vehicle of any type. That means a jet or a tractor or a super car or a hovercraft or whatever but your main goal is to transport the other player(s) from location A to location B WITHOUT A SEAT FOR THEM TO SIT IN. You gotta design some sort of vehicle that won't get absolutely destroyed by a character standing on or inside it but also make it fast and maneuverable enough to complete a specific course. 3 rounds in different areas that your vehicles might or might not benefit from, for example round 1 is just a ground race but across different terrain. Round 2 is half underwater and half on land. Round 3 is half in water half in air. The weirdest vs trailmakers game you've ever played lmao.

Overpowered car vs dynamite planes Rules: - Plane needs to have some dynamite anywhere on the body but they have to explode the car. - No guns only dynamite. - 100 blocks. - No powercore limit. - No dynamite limit. Basics: - Whoever survives as a car longest wins. - Sub 1 minute as car rounds redo. - Planes start on aircraft carrier. - Car starts at the end of the runway with the jump. Instructions on car - The car should have as many guns as you can fit in there including EMPs without too much lag. - Car can go on water but it's slower. - Car needs to be beefy use a complexity mod if you have/want to for it.

after seeing the "big plane" get shreded, i'd love to see more of this but with a super plane built for this type of combat and not just "looks good." Would be more interesting if instead of having the ability to shoot behind you and your sides by default, would be neat if you could find another player who plays "gunner" of a turret while the pilot can only shoot forwards. Would be so cool.

3:00 You need (Canards) the little winglets on the nose. helps with the pitch and directional stabilisation to not have those bounces. or you just put the engines, level with the wing or behind them. The main problem is caused by the thrust In front of the wings/Lift. 4:35 ooops😅😅😅 if you put them further to the front you can strengthen the effect.

Space station survival. One person is in a satellite that stays at a constant altitude, using the FOV of camera blocks to zoom in, this player controls the satellite to shoot the other players until they can no longer move, the person that eliminates all players the fastest is the winner.

Hey ScrapMan, why not try a Battlebots in Trailmakers video? Basically you can't use projectiles or fly but instead you have to build melee weapons like what you tend to see in Battlebots. The complexity can just be the default max but the goal would be to protect your cockpit.

Weird idea for you scrap - Multi vehicle mega vehicles? Like, one player makes a giant land vehicle base, and another makes a weapons array to sit on top of it, link them however you can, then the third player sees how quickly they can take out the base vehicle. -no shields- -no weapons on the base vehicle- The attacking vehicle can be land or air, or both

What ever idea you go with for the next one i would love to see you make the overpowered vehicle maybe an overpowered submarine. Or a video where each person makes their own op vehicles and a normal vehicle but one of the requirements would be a time limit for building say five minutes to build then one min to finish up the vehicle.
