Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Idea : you 3 should do an overpowered spaceship battle. It would be similar to overpowered blimp but with faster movement speed (in space). I love the image of a massive battle ship facing 2 small ships trying to destroy it.

Y'all should do a video with helicopters that have to pick up a car, (driven by a player), with anchor blocks and carry them to like a "home base" to score points. It would be so the helicopters can only fight each other when the car is off the ground. Adding onto this- There could be a mini competition on who could stay uncaptured as the car for the longest, alternatively you could find a way to make it "cars vs helicopters" with a similar principal but idk how to do that one.

Challenge Suggestion: (Day 3) Broadside Challenge: Build dogfighting planes, however all their guns must be facing sideways. Bonus challenge is using gunpowder cannons.

This was epic. I really wanted to see a restart of the battleship battle after it was discovered that ScrapMan and Yzuei were on the same team... but what I really want to see now is battleship vs airship... find a fourth player and do 2v2. I also want to see the battleship and airship on the Steam workshop; once I get my new PC up and running, I'll be finally playing Trailmakers and these are exactly the kinds of creations I plan to be building.

Another Idea popped into my head while watching your EMP battles though I don't know if it would work. EMP Submarines / Boats. The idea of the EMP's effecting the adjustable buoyancy blocks making you less or more buoyant as you fight. I also don't think you have ever done a Pure Sub battle since the latest updates.

The whole battle ship I think was a great idea. Another variation of it, that you guys could do. would be to do more of a gally ship for the battle and use two or three deck high of the black powder cannons, so no auto aim. the other boats could be other gally ships, so everyone makes their own with their own aesthetic OR you do smaller dinghy and maybe us a more modern cannon.

Overpowered ship vs. planes sounds like a great idea! Maybe even allow the complexity mod to be used to make the "overpowered" ship even more overpowered.

Between you three, you totally could make some kind of overpowered stationary automated turret-like thing, right? Just something that when it senses something within a proximity, it turns on and starts blasting......in no particular direction, just all over. I think making something like that and then you guys are in "micro vehicles" trying to either tag or get under the kind of aimless "centurion" bot would be a fun one. Like you could have distance sensors on the bottom to detect if someone or the ground is close up and if it is, TNT explodes in it disabling it. Basically, it's a deathrun for you guys and it's complete chance whether or not you can win. Just equip the thing with blasters and mini guns that spin around it and black powder cannons that fire upwards and out that also rotate around it so if you can get past the explosions, you've then got to run the gauntlet of minigun and blaster fire only to make it to the overpowered bot to be blown up. I mean you guys get no weapons, but I guess you can have a tractor beam to carry "shields or something akin to it and you're limited to a single ground based engine (as in you can't use thrusters or jets or balloons) and up to let's say 50 parts and no limitation on complexity? Absolutely no weapons, including spawners, but that'll be the challenge. You guy's vs a "boss"-like battle.

Giant OP Man-of-War battle on high seas would be pretty cool! Likely with the large cannon instead of gunpowder so you still have some aim assist. I love the pirate/sailing ship builds so I'd honestly love to see that. :>

You guys should do subscriber war. You design a couple of vehicles within agreed upon limits and bunch of each of your subscribers pilot them based on a raffle. To make it fun you guys all sit in over powered mother ships that serve as a the spawn point for your subscribers. (So, no repairs just backspace back to spawn you've chosen.)

This is really cool! I think you should check out From The Depths! It's a vehicle building game with an RTS style campaign, an Adventure mode campaign, and multiplayer! There's a steep learning curve, but I'm sure you could suss it out! Great work otherwise, keep it up!

Hello scrapman! I have a challenge, the premise of the challenge is everyone builds a build and everyone uses the same build in battle. Kind of like you do at the end of the video in the winning vehicle. It forces you to build towards your strength as a pilot and gaining an competitive edge over the opponent in whatever direction you deem.

Commenting before the building really started, I think a very wide catamaran style boat with the connections between both sides under water would give the biggest chance to not get destroyed instantly on approach.

You should do a 2v2 where each team has a blimp and each blimp has to be able to hold a biplane. The catch is that the planes will have to have limited fuel and return to the blimp to refuel. Each plane needs to first take down the enemy plane, and then the enemy blimp in order to win.

Idea: volume battle. Build a volume (or area) wise big creation (air-, space-, battleship, plane, car) and battle each other or small creations. I liked the overpowers airship and battleship. The battleship didn't look that much bigger than the attack ships. I don't know how to make rules for it. Use at least 20 big 4x8 panels and 600plus complexity? (with rules for small use of complex parts like wheels)

Hmm... what about an overpowered *fortress?* Without worrying about movement, the fortress player could put all their focus into aiming, and without mobility, it could be super tough with lots of 4x8 blocks and shield blocks and shields. Put it on top of a mountain for planes to assault, or in a canyon and let the others choose whether to bring a ground vehicle or a plane...
