Our offense was so much better with JT at the helm I never had any doubt that he would make the right decisions.. he made all his reads quickly and made the best passes .. Stetson was serviceable but it was very clear who was the better qb

I understand that you can’t just boot a team out of a conference. That being said, Vandy has no business fielding a football team in the SEC. They are completely non competitive in football. If they win 2 or more conference games, that’s considered a successful season. They are raking in huge SEC profit sharing $$$ while putting out a product that that many FCS schools would stomp all over. Alabama came to play them in Nashville a couple of years ago. The crowd was at least 70% Alabama fans. It’s sad to see this level of being the league doormat.

Should have gotten that TD on the goal line, that was embarrassing honestly. After watching it in slow-motion, Fitzpatrick blocked the wrong guy, he should have blocked the defender coming off the edge. Everyone else did their job well enough, the right side of the line dominated their guys. Wonder what that play looks like with a healthy Darnell Washington instead of Fitzpatrick. Might be a touchdown, but you have to expect more from Fitzpatrick.

Don’t get me wrong, Scott is the man, but he is way overdoing the gravel voiced excitement of his predecessor. Not every play or even every game deserves the vocal inflections of a game with everything on the line. Larry had a low key style of calling games like this and still managed to be entertaining. It would serve Scott well to tone it down and preserve his vocal chords for games on down the line.
