Once we arrived in Satarém, we started our search for a boat driver to take us out to an indigenous village where we could sleep for the night.
Also there was a lot of Cachaça involved.
Valeu! 🇧🇷

Man, these videos are incredible. Some of the best content on KZbin. You get yourself in such interesting situations and it's way more real than 99% of travel videos out there. It's also a consistent reminder that we're all just humans. You are able to connect with all these people from different cultures almost effortlessly. Can't wait for the next one!

Most people when they travel, they don't go on adventures. They stay in a resort or some sort of city - thats insanity. My first thought was like, "if I die here, no one would ever find me -cool." And the most beautiful music I ever heard was at a lake side run down shack/restaurant that was flooded basically from all sides. However, you see lot of abject poverty and its hard to not help in any form or shape. Basically, at the end, I have given away everything.

I love that this isn't another KZbin channel with drone footage of landscapes or any other display of expensive tech and fast paced travel in exotic locations. Brazil looks fascinating. I've travelled all over east and southern Africa (including South Africa, crossing by land along the Orange River in Namibia, to the Western Cape) alone and with friends, by bus and bike, and the best moments were without a doubt the spontaneous interactions with locals we met along the way. I really get a sense of how much you and travel companions relish the details and the human connection. And you meet everyone at their level without any sense of superiority. This vid reminds me most of Mozambique- not least because it's a Portuguese speaking country- which was a bit wild and challenging to navigate, but the people- especially away from big towns- were amazing. Bravo on producing top quality, understated content!!

i've been looking after some tourists visiting Brazil and by far you're the most respectable, understanding and sweet tourist channel i've ever watched. I think that on surface level, knowing Brazil is still good, because of our general culture, but to see you experience things that even for Brazilians are rare, but still common (brazilians always have 'that aunt' or 'that granny' that lives in the northwest. I'm from São Paulo but my parents are both from Rio de Janeiro and João Pessoa, so I always had this northeasthern side to my family, and they're so kind, so true to themselves and just people living by, having a good time. Right now you aren't in Brazil but I hope you can find time to come back and go to Natal/João Pessoa, having indigenous lands to befriend and get to know more about 'oxente culture'!

I have extremely bad social anxiety so it’s hard for me to travel to the local corner store let alone around the world, I love watching these videos and getting a better understanding on how different cultures operate, Kurt is a really lovable guy always a good time watching the positive interactions everyone has smiles and invites him to their homes/villages with open arms. Thank you for reminding me that the world isn’t always as scary as people make it seem 🙏🏼

@@Jaburu honestly I’ve become accustomed to it, I keep in touch with my family and I go to work do my job and go home, I completely understand how people think it sounds depressing or not healthy, but I just don’t crave human interaction, I always liked being left alone and doing my own thing probably since my early 20’s (I’m going on 30 soon) but genuinely I appreciate y’all’s concern but I’d say I’m happy for the most part.

@@BigDaddyLongStockings you don't need to like human interaction, but you shouldn't be afraid to leave home either. you also don't even know how it feels like to get rid of that anxiety. you should at least try someting in my opinion. you can go back to your isolation afterwards if you feel that you are happier like that. I personaly went through a period of havie anxiety and it sure isn't something you want to permentanly in. in my case it was probably caused by alcohol. everything you try to hide with drugs comes back twice as strong afterwards

@@Jaburu I understand where you’re coming from completely, back to my original comment maybe I didn’t word it the best I’m not as much scared to go out locally it’s more so just dreading having to interact with people or even be in the same vicinity as them, (I live in New York so no matter where I go it’s a large crowd) I had a span of drug and alcohol abuse in my late teens early 20’s but since I haven’t had any issues staying away from substances, but now that you say that, that is when I started secluding myself more and noticing my social anxiety after I quit everything.
