I was there eating the hongitos in 1973 . Back then "derumbas" were 20 pesos for una "familia" - which was expensive ( cause I was a gringo ) - almost $2. It was only a dirt road through the town. Kurt, I am old school... Back in the late 70's while visiting a friend in Big Sur, California, we were with our ladies... My friend, who was the Chief of the Big Sur Fire Dept then, says, "Hey, let's do these mushrooms I have... There very mild..." Famous last words, We eat all of them and go hiking up the hills beyond Ventana in Big Sur. A few hours later, with no clothes on, we find our way back to the cabin, where our girlfriends have been drinking wine and smoking weed.. They had no idea what we had done. So, "Where are your clothes?" They yell. I was so high I didn't realize I had no clothes on... It has been a decade or more since I had mushrooms. But soon I will find some. One thing I always liked about them was the laughing. You know you had a good time when your cheeks are sore from laughing for 5 hours straight...
