This comes up after my lousy weekend. Decided to play with brine quenching and got a humbling reminder that A I'm not a master bladesmith and B there is a vast difference between understanding the science and making it work.

Awesome work from all y'all, great blades so far. I have a crazy question for ya. I'm about an hour away, but I'll be nearby soon for some appointments at the VA Hospital in Johnson City... and despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to acquire, or even rent time on, a press or power hammer to weld up the forty 4-foot bars of 15N20 and 1084 that I've had since the pandemic hit... so would it be fair to give you half of the final Damascus in exchange for the making? I'd lose half anyway doing it by hand, so this feels like a way smarter solution, but obviously that all depends on how you or your guys feel about it. You won't hurt my feelings either way, but I'm willing to negotiate and obviously will do all of the travel and whatnot. Let me know what you think. Love the fantastic content, brother. Keep it comin.
