Did you see the KZbin video of the woman gluing on dollar tree shopping bags with Disney including Star Wars glued to the face of the dollar tree bins. That would be awesome for the shelving unit! Also if you sticking pieces of cardboard on the inside of the bins they become sturdier and easier to use.
