Tremendous project outstandingly executed! But I SOOOO wanted to clean that lens!
@TheSmugglersRoom3 жыл бұрын
LOL!!! So, i'll tell you something. This lens has been through some stuff, and there was so much dust up inside. The biggest issue is that I could not take it apart without damaging it. Trust me, the dust inside was driving me insane! Apparently this specific lens from the factory was sealed in a way that there was no mechanical connection that would release it so I could clean it. I even went as far as researching the manufacture and going through old install manuals. no luck. If these are damaged in the field (when they were still used that is) you had to replace the entire board. Crazy huh?

That is quite the work of art. Your attention to detail and ability is amazing. One thing I might note. I understand that this contraption is supposed to have that 'used' look, but the camera lens itself looks absolutely filthy. Awesome video! I learn so much from these. Now I need to go make one. LOL. A suggestion, maybe try Wago connectors. I find that they are much easier to work with than wire nuts and electrical tape. Also if you are using different colored tiles, use the same color LED as that tile. It will make that color brighter, especially if it is diffused to much.
