Been in the Navy for a few years. I havn't been home to Florida in over 2 years. I'm stationed outside of Seattle and there are never any good storms here, only depressing mists and sprinkles. Growing up I always loved to watch the storms outside so this really helps me return home while I try to sleep. Thank you

@MakeupbyPenny Still am in the Navy. At the time I made the comment I was between deployments stationed on a Submarine. Now I am fortunate enough to be at a shore command.

Love this Florida rain sound. My uncle had a house with a tin roof and the sound that thing made when it rained was pretty awesome. It was out in the middle of a small pasture. Loved that sound.

Good night from Chicago! Fort Lauderdale native here, but I’m a flight attendant so I’m away from home about half of the month. This video will help lull me to sleep at night in all of these random cities. Thanks much!

I commend you on your Florida thunderstorm video collection! I used to live in Central Florida from 1969 to 1971 when I was a kid in elementary school because my late father, who was in the Air Force, was stationed at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. But we all actually lived in the Patrick AFB old south housing units in which most of them are torn down and gone. That is in the city of Satellite Beach. Are you familiar with that city or area? It is on what is called Florida's "space coast" because it is in the vicinity of both the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex as well as The Cape that I mentioned earlier. Anyway, these summer thunderstorms were quite common obviously during the summer months. Most of them didn't last that long, like maybe fifteen or twenty minutes depending how strong they were. Yes, these storm certainly bring back a lot of pleasurable childhood memories for me! Ironically, I was scared of lightning and thunder at that age. But as I grew older, I began to like and appreciate them. Now I listen to these videos nightly to put me to sleep. I can add this video to my collection of liked videos now! Thank you once again for uploading these videos here on youtube! I will enjoy them to the fullest! Magnificent job!

Great video. The only problem I had with Florida was the heavy rain and humidity for my classic car at the time growing up. No matter how many times it use to visit my mechanic to fix the problems, it struggled to idle or even turn over. It just never worked well. Eventually I sold the car, but always wondered way it did so.
