Love this woman!! She's a hard worker! What does she use for bait, and how do you bait a 1200-foot line or a 3000-foot line? Also, have you ever done a video of setting your trotline up, and where do you find the equipment that holds your line out of the water while dipping for the crabs? Bait she uses Razor clams most of the time. You bait by hand. Lol

Most of your tackle shops that carry crabbing equipment, most of the time will have a "roller" that will lift line out of the water. You can always make one yourself out of PVC PIPE. I do have e a couple video on the equipment you need for trotline.

This is Rachel: To answer the question; I use clams only When setting up a trotline I space them 13 feet apart... use less bait and bags but cover same amount of bottom and you'll miss less crabs... My roller arm and roller came from Kastels but has been modified, any welder could make one similar for probably less money. For my bungees I use a heavier grade that won't stretch out and my snoods, I use air compressor hose from Harbor Freight, it doesn't dry rot as fast as fuel line

Sam, tell Rachel, if she uses a very long bungee cord for her dippernet, when she picks it up out of the water, it'll pull towards her basket. She'll be using that right shoulder. A lot less.
