*Fun fact:* Speaking of Jack Kirby's Superman, there's a 2000 story from the "Trinity" series in which Supes has an adventure in a space whose art style perfectly imitates the one of the 70's Fourth World comics. It was a pretty wholesome homage to Kirby

The truth is that Jimmy Olsen had some pretty impressive underrated Silver Age adventures, like the iconic story where he became a turtle-man kaiju. Surely the anecdotes he told to Power Girl were the reason why Karen became interested in him. 😉

Up in the sky superman and superman rebirth by both Tom king and Peter J tomasi superman rebirth with his family are personally for me are my favorite superman stories I read in decades, which I will say till the day I die that both series demonstrate why people love superman as a hero but also a great character & person that people want to follow his stories at least in my opinion. :)

I'd have to agree with you on Up in the Sky by Tom King. That was truly excellent. It really explored Superman's indomitable will which is, arguably, his strongest "super power" imo. No matter what was thrown at him, even if the obstacles were from within, he refused to waver or give up. Loved it. I've not read Superman Rebirth, tho. I take it this is something I need on my To-Read List?

Yeah turning Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy into electric blue superman just feels like a bad idea and plus did nothing with his story and proves my point more and more that DC should just stop and just deage Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy back to his little 10 year old self and stop doing bad ideas or gimmicks that don't work and just focus on the original superman Clark Kent being a great father and husband to his wife lois lane and his son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self because that the story a lot of people myself included and want to read not bad stories like superman red and blue which really didn't work in the 90's and doesn't work in the present unfortnately but that's just my opinion.

I personally was really taken aback when I’d found out they aged up Jon (I’d been on a hiatus from comics and have just recently gotten back) but the more I see them iron out the awkwardness the more I think he really fits into the universe as an invincible-style new Superman. I would hope they’d give him his own hero identity as opposed to “second Superman,” but that’s just my two cents
