You mistake. If you go deep into the story, you will know that the war between the Palestinians and the Israelis was caused by this drunk man who, with half a bottle of whiskey in his head, took the map of the Middle East and, using a line, decided who would have what. Today, we have the results, at thta time,he wanted to get rid of the Jews who fled from Europe to England. If it weren't for the United States of America, today, France, England and other countries would be speaking German.

@@augustocagner8098 of course the US played a major role. But the US boys could have had difficulties if they didn't have England to serve as a base The US only decided to enter the war in Europe after Churchill spent 2 weeks sleeping in the White House. England had a great navy that prevented Germans from invading its territory England was a great military power and transferred some of its technologies so they could use in the war against Germany and also in case England were invaded... If Germany had defeated England, the US alone would have difficulties to defeat Germany. Remenber D Day wasn't a ride in the Park and counted on british, canadian, indian, polish and french soldiers.

I was a very young child when the great Winston Churchill died. I was at my grandma and grandpa’s house (my mom’s parents)when his funeral was televised on their black and white TV. My dad, a raging and often violent (when in his cups) narcissist, was there watching with the rest of the family. It was the first time I can recall that he shut up completely and just watched the TV. He had his demons, I would say, from serving in the Navy in the Pacific, so that was water under the bridge. It was truly a marvel that he did not utter a word.

Churchill is such an unforgettable Great man. He'a great lesson to the free World though an Imperialist bent at saving the interests of the Great Empire so would I wish and work towards. for my British colonized country(Uganda). So what is wrong at saving the Great British Empire and providing for the English People? It's an Irony worth of global research as to why the British didn't bring back Churchill as the British Prime Minister.Churchil being Churchill,t he little nick named bull dog warrior makes a come back later in life as Prime Minister following his prediction of the Communist threat by thee Soviet Union and the emergence of the Iron Curtain. What do people actually want? Prosperity and Strategic security.Basically call it the;"Materiality of Power".Churchill the Great worked for just that.Thats what makes people and nations strong. He called my country Uganda ,the Pearl of Africa.May His Great Soul Rest in Peace.

It’s quite surprising that the writer of the History of the English Speaking Peoples can be so unaware of the current political conditions around him. It’s obvious to his own family, but he is unwilling to believe it (because surely this cannot be just ignorance). When I reflect on this, it amazes me that he remains significant as a public political figure in some of the years yet to come.

As a politician, he was at least as well-respected as Cicero - as a general, but more successful than Caesar. As he himself stated, he was born and prepared by his biography for his unique task of saving Europe from ruin. One must admire him for that, but even more so the English nation, which supported him so unreservedly in two existential wars.

SORRY Gallipoli was a good strategic move. The commanders failed because the concept of an amphibious and secure the beaches was not well understood. The Commanders failed to take the heights immediately upon landing and that cost them dearly. This same mistake was made also in ANZIO in WW 2 in the Italian campaign. The failure of Gallipoli prevented the allies from supplying Russia hence the eventual collapse of Russia and the Bolsheviks eventually taking over. So Gallipoli was worth trying!!!!!
