Hi Ben late to the party but just got a 2023 wrangler overland and looking at also getting wheels and a lift kit.... Did you need to upgrade the tyre carrier to accommodate the bigger tyre? Not many videos here in Australia bout jeep info. Great video hope you do more!
@BenCad Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, nah I’ve just got the stock carrier, this is my second Jk and I did the same on my old one too. So I’ve had no issues with the stock carrier with a combined like 7 years of use. It seems reasonably safe at this tyre size, however if I went up another size or two. I think it would be a important consideration. If you were gunna be on the trails every weekend too it may be more important, I know a few guys who have run similar tyre sizes and eventually all the extra flex does eventually take it’s toll - off-roading speeds that up of course. But yeah as mine does daily duties with some occasional adventures when I have time. I don’t think I’ll have any problems for a long time yet. And if I do… Excuse for upgrades! Hope that helps!

I just bought a 07 Unlimited X….thinkin about going with this exact setup. Took it stock on a path here at home, definitely need a lift and tires or some sort….how does it ride on the road??
@TheDon87713 жыл бұрын
@@CapnPink28 you’ll love it when you feel as confident as you will with aev around turns and highway speeds. And at low speeds and lower tire pressure it’s perfect for the trails.

You could use another inch in front unless you like the raked look. Personally I like it level.

Hmmmm, the 33's look good on there. I'm in Canada and all I hear is the 33's on a 2" lift will look weird, so I'm paroozing the net trying to see what it looks like. Internet all says do 35's .. but does the internet comments really know!? I don't trust it ... cuz I actually wheel. But 35's look tooooo big, and if the trail gets flexible, those things are gonna stuff right up in there and rub the shit out of it. So good video, nice to see. Think I may go 33 or 34 to give us some wiggle room. This one is my wives (we are building it up) so we have two vehicles when we go out, and I can be a little more stupid ... and she will take great pleasure in rescuing me.
@BenCad Жыл бұрын
35's would definetely look great, but seems like that brings all the hassles and extra costs you avoid with 33's :)

Hey Ben, you’ve had the tire and lift for a little while now, just wondering how there holding up.Have you had any part failures or had to return to the installer for any reason?
@BenCad3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Well so far the lift kit has been 100% fine for daily driver duties. But down here in Australia we’re still in covid lockdown so still haven’t been able to take it anywhere fun! :( hope that helps somewhat!
