Thanks to sharon, people got even more respect for iron maiden. Heavy metal is not my thing, but i have extreme respect for a guy like Bruce, because he's not a guy to mess with, he's smart and educated, he's a friggin airline pilot, a businesman, fencer, and a rock star, who also hate's drugs! Now how much more can you achieve in one lifetime? How much more can a man live life to the max than this? When you look in a dictionary at the word "man" it should say "see bruce dickinson!"

They both run around on stage and it doesn't make it any better. With Angus it works on a level of showing how good of a guitarist he is, and with Freddie Mercury He Runs Around but he always seems to have some kind of direction, like everything is done with a purpose and all the movements are very strong. Bruce runs around the stage with no direction, and ozzy walks back and forth looking like his dog pooed on the carpet. What I was saying is both are bad, not one is better :)

the reason they all came back in so perfectly in run to the hills was because only the front of house PA was cut off (what the audience hear) and the stage monitors were still on, so they could hear everything fine as if nothing had happened. If you don't believe me, turn the volume up and you can hear the stage monitors still going

I was at the second Ozzfest 2005 show in Hartford, and the sound was out for the entirety of the opening number (Wrathchild)...the crowd was booing like crazy. As soon as they kicked into The Trooper, the PA kicked in, the crowd went nuts, and the rest of the show was perfect...so even though we didn't realize it at the time, Sharon had been fucking with Maiden's sound from the beginning of the tour. it wasn't a technical glitch as we thought. And I know Bruce had been making all sorts of derogatory comments in the press and onstage about American audiences being fat and boring, about reality TV and teleprompters and everything, which were obviously not-so-veiled insults at The Osbournes...he definitely has a lot of opinions and a big mouth, but it was ridiculously stupid of Sharon to penalize her own crowds if she was pissed at Bruce. She came out onstage after the San Bernadino concert to say that she loved Maiden but that Bruce was a prick, and got booed off the stage. Her childish vendetta blew up in her face.

The truth is that Ozzy canceled several Ozzfest shows because he wasn't up to performing. Iron Maiden took the headlining spot several times. Iron Maiden also stole the show EVERY NIGHT. SHARON was the jealous one, not Maiden. LOL! It turned into IronFest. Sharon wasn't having that.

Bruce has often publicly expressed his displeasure of performing in the U.S. and his love for South America . I don't live in U.S. or Brazil, but I have seen Iron Maiden 65 times in 4 continents. Out of those shows, most were in the U.S., and unfortunately, American audiences were the most quiet ones. Go see Iron Maiden in Sao Paulo, you'll have a blast!

My first Ozzfest and the last stop at WPB Fl,I remember being so excited to see Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden on the bill. I didn't know why IM wasn't on that last showing at the time,they were cancelled. So what Bruce doesn't care for reality shows? Fans paid for that venue and should have received what was advertised! The power cut offs and eggs were unprofessional and immature.if they are all adults,a simple conversation could have respectfully resolved it. Talk it out first!

On reflection, I admit I was too hasty to dismiss those albums you mentioned as well. I only ever truly disliked Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die also I grew up on Dio and less so with Ozzy until I discovered him myself as a teen. But I will stress, despite the great albums that followed, Paranoid is the only album I enjoy track for , but that's just me.
