I really wish they would add a zoom feature to allow zooming in on where the cursor is instead of a selected region or the playhead. It would be so much faster and convenient than having to tell logic where to zoom.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what your saying , but what if you put the cursor exactly wherever you want to zoom and then hold control + option and drag just a little ahead or behind of what you want to zoom in on? Example: If I need to address something I hear at a certain peak of a waveform, e.g. something like a single Kick drum hit. If I hold control + option and drag a little ahead or even behind that single waveform (you'll see a tiny transparent blue box on top of what's going to be zoomed in on) I 'm looking at exactly what I wanted to look at. This is essentially what Chris talks about in the video around the 2:14 mark in the video.

Hi Chris, Love the channel! I have a question not pertaining to this video. When I start up Logic, my phone wants to connect as a mic. Is that a Logic setting or my phone? Thanks Man!!
@CaseyJust3 ай бұрын
I would guess that that in the Phone bluetooth settings your phone is connected to your computer? You should see an option for the name oof your computer in the list of bluetooth devices your phone connects to and from there should find an option for "forget this device".

I don’t think you mentioned that you can also do the iPad-like two-finger zoom gesture on the Mac trackpad (internal or external).

@@tshoobThat was a single finger on the Magic Mouse (equivalent of a scroll wheel). The trackpad has the same pinch-to-zoom gesture as the iPad.

Since Logic 11, it seems that focus on the playhead is now lost. It makes zooming where you want quite a lot harder. Hope Apple brings it back,

The reason I refuse to use a "normal" mouse and have the trackpad are gestures in general and zooming in particular

Or get a track ball and by default Kensington default mouse 3-4 to zoom in and out and scroll plus 3 zooms horizontal EZ
