2 LIFE SIZE Sculptures in 15 DAYS for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl.

This is my fourth year working with Goodyear Tires and the Cotton Bowl, creating tire sculptures for the two competing NCAA football teams. This year I had the privilege of creating Penn State University Nittany Lion and the University of Memphis Tiger out of Goodyear Tires.
Start to finish, these sculptures were completed in just 15 days! The timeframe is always the hardest part of these builds. The reason there is such a short timeframe is because the NCAA announces the teams on December 8th, which leaves me only a couple of weeks to complete the team's sculptures to be presented at the game.
Both sculptures weigh nearly 200 LBS each, and consist of over 400 Goodyear tires combined. There are also thousands of hidden staples, and screws. These two sculptures took nearly 400 man hours to complete and would not have been possible without my amazing team.

Hi Blake, am the driver who actually hauled these pieces to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington/Dallas, TX from your home in Clovis, CA. And it was around Xmas time 2019. Was going through my wallet today and saw your card and surprisingly, you have a KZbin channel detailing all the artwork you do. Glad you featured me on there at the end. This one was too quiet! LOL! I kept trying to turn some sound on! These big cats are amazing! I think I like the lion best with the detailed muscle structure--so detailed! I don't know how you can look at another tire after all of those pieces that went into that tiger! I'm worn out after watching those pieces being cut out for just a few minutes! Amazing job again! I'm new to your channel and on a binge here, but I'm curious if you ever have a total fail? I watched the basketball leather tree and even though the black didn't work for you the walnut veneer turned out absolutely stunning!

I’m a baker and pastry chef, and I just realized that I construct my figural cakes the way you construct your sculptures, with the exception of using wooden dowels for my armatures. I even use foam for the mock ups, but I promise the end product is 100% edible.

Yeah what bothered me on the tiger is they usually have a bit more of a ruff almost like a lion mane. Now that said I couldn't touch thus level of art let alone in the 15 day time-line both pieces ate incredible

Very cool. Amazing job in such a small time line! BTW, you really don't need to put the sponsors logo for the entire video.. It was a pretty big chunk of the view. And if they ask you for it then tell them it is compromising the quality of the video.

Music is always so tough for me to decide on videos. Because of the length of this video, I would have to have 4-5 different songs without copyright claims. Instead, I decided to just make my life much easier and do one very long song and call it a wrap. Glad you liked the video though!

What is the awful clanging in the background of the foam carving? I hear the high pitched sound of the sped up saw but wtf is that other noise? Iz confusion 🧐 1:06 it comes back 13:55 Edit: you should put up a flash sensitivity warning before the welding 3:21 luckily I don’t have seizures but I do get migraines from bright flashes or sunlight. I can’t even look out a window for more than a few seconds. I guarded my eyes so don’t worry that you hurt me but warnings are great
